9pm-10.35 harry talks to tom bradby.

just putting it out there..... you don't have to watch! I don't care.

maddyone Mon 09-Jan-23 06:55:45

It’s all very well blaming the press/media, but if Harry didn’t put it out there the press would have nothing to complain or blame him for. Harry gives them all the ammunition they need.

I watched, wanting to see what PH actually had to say.
I felt it was all pschyobabble, that all this was very American.
He seemed to be back pedalling furiously, not at all bothered that he was the one who threw his family under a bus, now expecting them to make the first move. His wife is allowed to feel hurt at comment, but not his brother’s?
As for mentioning his father’s biography, I may be wrong but didn’t his mother have a very revealing one written by Andrew Morton first?
One very spoiled, entitled, damaged man with no sense of responsibility.
I hope that is the end of it all, and he lives happily ever after in total silence in the States!

Yes she did do talk ne. So both his parents sold books airing their grievances . His mum's not around but do you think Charles is spoiled, entitled and damaged man.

Mattie no, Charles’ book by Dimbleby came out a couple of years prior to Morton’s Diana book.

Scrap that! You were right! Sorry!
Diana - 1992
Charles - 1994

In my (shaky) defence I read the wrong information somewhere on here

LRavenscroft Mon 09-Jan-23 06:36:36

There is a wildness in his eyes that makes me feel instinctively uncomfortable.

Don't watch him it would be like watching a public nervous breakdown, Megan quiet for a change, she's,got what she set out to do.
I watched Happy Valley, excellent episode, tempted to watch the lot. If only there were more police like Catherine.

What did meghan set out to and how doften you know this?

Good question

FannyCornforth Mon 09-Jan-23 06:32:19

I’m surprised if it was filmed at their home, as the house that they were filmed in for the Netflix series was not theirs.

Poor Camilla, ‘getting in bed with the devil’
Isn’t that exactly what his sainted mother did? Colluding with the press?
(Nothing against Diana btw)

I'm not sure I can take much more. He seems to think the world revolves around him and does nothing but whinge. Talk about glass half empty. I've been keeping off these H&M threads because it's beginning to affect my mental health! I will try and watch it tomorrow night if I'm up to it.

Why can't you take much more? Who's making you watch it? So you're whinging about him whinging?

I'm not watching the interview but I watched Netflix and I'll read to book. The Netflix programme had a lot of positive stuff about his relationship with Meghan, his kids and his new life. The main negative stuff was about the press which took some guts. The press are toxic and it's about time someone stood up to them.

Telling all to television interviews and writing a book about the dramas , secrets and personal incidents that happened within one’s family is certainly not the way to win their affection.

I feel that Harry is just one very disillusioned sad individual. It’s all just a one sided story he’s telling . In time to come , once all the dust settles down , and he’s alone with just his wife and their children , he’s going to regret ever doing these things because having the love & respect of one’s whole family , mum , dad , brothers & sisters ect ect is the best thing in life that no amount of money can ever buy .

Bit silly mentioning the love of his mum wasn't it? Do you really not know that not all family's are a blessing, there are some really toxic families around. His father did an interview when Harry was 10 years old telling the world that he had been cheating on his Harry's mum and in fact he'd always loved the woman even when.he took his vows. He's got uncle Andrew a family member turned up at his engagement party wearing a racist brooch.

He loves his wife and he's got gorgeous kids. He can choose friends that support him.

Ailidh Mon 09-Jan-23 06:07:28

I haven't and won't watch but I did see a snippet on the BBC news app, where he criticised the RF for not defending Meghan over Clarkson's crassity.

What offended me was that the BBC saw fit to reprint some of Clarseson's revolting comments.

I watched the interview and felt very sad. Current press coverage will surely reinforce Harry’s beliefs. I have no idea of the accuracy of his writing, how can I? I do however believe he needs ongoing, qualified, professional support to overcome acknowledged traumas and feel desperately sorry for his wider family who must be as hurt as Harry says he has been.

Grammaretto Mon 09-Jan-23 00:29:01

I thought Tom the interviewer was incredulous at one point. Harry believing he isn't hurting anyone and the truth overules all else
I agree his weekly therapy sessions are not helping. He sounds paranoid. Poor man.

Where was this filmed, anyone know?

You won't watch but you feel free to comment with gusto without seeing him speak for himself.
As usual, I watched what he said before listening to the news and reading some. Once again, I wondered if they watched the same thing I had. They quote but without context, they only say half of what he said and whip up a frenzy. I think it just highlights what Harry says about the power of the press and why he has decided to speak out. I make no comment of whether what he is saying is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth but I still think that the way the press and media handle what is said is highly misleading.

It honestly sounds like just normal family stuff with a bit of drama and trauma thrown in but my family are dramatic so maybe I’m not the best one to comment… I just keep trying to look at the curtain material 🥺

Me too Jane 😅

I think Tom Bradby did a better job than I expected and he did look puzzled and probably a little concerned as he’s supposedly a friend as well.

I am of the impression Harry needs help. His total lack of self awareness is staggering. Saying he wants to speak to his family but it must remain private!?!

I found it bizarre. I think he’s delusional.

No delusional at all. Felt things very strongly, yes, certainly not "right" about everything, but then with emotions its going to be inevitably a POV. and it makes sense to me that he expects certain thing to remain private. A lot of us here talk about our personal lives including critiques of those for example in estrangement situations - but don't actually tell everything of course.

Callistemon21 Sun 08-Jan-23 23:11:58

But I only saw the last 5 minutes, as I was watching Happy Valley and the other Catherine's chaotic kitchen!.

^Lovely window seat. I found myself drawn to gazing at it.^
Was it his house? It looked a bit more cottage like.

Yes, loved the colour scheme.
