I wondered whether it was the guest house in their garden.

Joseanne Sun 08-Jan-23 22:59:42

I had those uncomfortable straw chairs they were sitting on in my French house. I'm not surprised he kept shuffling, despite the little thin cushion. 🪑 🪑

Joseanne

^Lovely window seat. I found myself drawn to gazing at it.^
Was it his house? It looked a bit more cottage like.

I kept looking at the box cushion and soft furnishings too 🙈

The early part about Diana’s death was heart breaking. There can’t be many people who watched Harry walking behind the coffin who didn’t think it shouldn’t be happening but he hasn’t been able to separate it from the rest of his life. Whatever therapy he has had doesn’t seem to have helped.

Listening to him lashing out at his family and the upbringing that gave him unimaginable privilege makes me wonder what on earth he can possibly want that he hasn’t already got.

And he wonders why his family are remaining silent?

It was in USA but not sure it was their home.

Zoejory Sun 08-Jan-23 22:50:52

I'm very glad he explained how they ended up walking behind their mother's coffin.

People have endlessly criticised the RF for forcing them. William was going to do it and Harry said he'd never have allowed him to do it alone.

tickingbird Sun 08-Jan-23 22:50:01

I think Tom Bradby did a better job than I expected and he did look puzzled and probably a little concerned as he’s supposedly a friend as well.

I am of the impression Harry needs help. His total lack of self awareness is staggering. Saying he wants to speak to his family but it must remain private!?!

I found it bizarre. I think he’s delusional.

And William.
LActually I thought his dad got let off quite lightly.

Joseanne Sun 08-Jan-23 22:46:04

Agree, but the way he went on and on about Camilla and Kate, so you can't blame the press for picking up on that.

Zoejory Sun 08-Jan-23 22:44:59

It had become a pointless interview. As we all know the book was leaked and it's been all over the press.

Rather surprised to hear him discuss the comment about what colour the baby would be. He said it wasn't a racist question. He then went on to say that the white family of a bi-racial couple often ask/wonder about what the baby will look like. Both sides of families might question this. He played it down but I did see Oprah interview and quite a big deal was made of it.

Lovely window seat. I found myself drawn to gazing at it. It was pretty dull.

He says he's happy and I hope he is but I somewhat doubt he's overly happy now about the way the leaked book has been received.

Just watched it and my opinion hasn't changed about him.... I'm wishing now I'd watched Happy Valley instead. I can't wait to see Gransnetters thoughts tomorrow though 😁

Maybe watch the interview itself rather than the press making more mischief.

Most definitely!!!!

One thing Harry IS right about are the headlines after headlines in the Red Tops ripping him to shreds and never examining "the establishment"

that clearly carry SOME responsibility for how things are now.

JaneJudge Sun 08-Jan-23 22:41:39

I have more than two son, the thought they’d work together and socialise together with their partners would be nice but not something I’d expect 😂

And poor Camilla 😂😎 she’d just butted out hadn’t she?

JaneJudge Sun 08-Jan-23 22:37:31

Right, have been watching it… right

Joseanne Sun 08-Jan-23 22:36:19

Good Lord! That was some marathon of whinging about everything and everyone, all from his one dimensional view. Hearing how minutely he dissects every bit of news written about him and Meghan, I am beginning to wonder how he ever finds any time to play hide and seek with his kids or swim in his lovely pool in the sunshine.
He calls it a look back project and says that he can now go forward ...... but he is still wanting accountability and apologies.

Just my initial reaction, but I'll be interested to hear what GNs think tomorrow as it gets unpicked.

It honestly sounds like just normal family stuff with a bit of drama and trauma thrown in 😪 but my family are dramatic so maybe I’m not the best one to comment… I just keep trying to look at the curtain material 🥺

merlotgran Sun 08-Jan-23 22:23:45

I’m watching it. Tom Bradby is doing a better job than I thought he would.

JaneJudge Sun 08-Jan-23 22:23:33

I just did an impression of my husband slagging off his sister on tv 🙈😂

Callistemon21 Sun 08-Jan-23 22:23:30

Oh good, you can give us a précis JaneJudge
No bias please 😂

Galaxy Sun 08-Jan-23 22:22:07

Crikey me too. I am agog.

JaneJudge Sun 08-Jan-23 22:19:29

I’m watching it 😂👍

eazybee Sun 08-Jan-23 22:09:08

Watched Happy Valley, followed immediately by BBC news. Lead item, Harry's interview. Apparently not intending to hurt his father and brother, which is when I I switched off.

Callistemon21 Sun 08-Jan-23 20:44:19

kircubbin2000

Happy Valley takes priority.

Indeed.
