Transatlantic Sessions

For those who are music fans BBC4 is rerunning some of the old sessions from Mountgreenan Mansions with lots of great singers and musicians .People like John Martyn,Emmylou Harris,Kathy Mattea,Mary Black .Karen Mathieson and great guitarists,violinists etc.Well worth a watch .I just saw the first two of the episodes tonight,I'm recording the rest of the series.
I did see them when they were first shown and its great to see them again

If you like the TV programmes, there is a short Transatlantic sessions tour each year after the Celtic Connections Festival in January. Not to be missed live! We are going to see it this year at Symphony Hall Birmingham on 9th February. Several other venues in a week.

We're going to several nights of Celtic Connections as we live just outside of Glasgow its always a brilliant couple of weeks

I caught a bit of Wayfaring Stranger earlier on. Don’t think I’ve seen it before so going to watch it on iplayer. Then started watching Imagine featuring Wilko Johnson. What an amazing man he was: I now understand why he was revered by so many people. I was never a Dr Feelgood fan.Now watching Punk at the BBC.
