There are so many. I particularly cringe at the one for Our Time dating for over 50s. I just want to punch the two simpering actors! Grrrrrr
Also, car adverts like Peugeot who think they’ll sell cars by speaking in a silly French accent.
I must be getting old!

The ones which is most of them with mixed race families.

Really? Why? Do tell

Thought I’d be controversial, but it’s true there are so many adverts with mixed race families and it’s nearly all a white woman with a black man. It is not representative of our country as a whole. You’d think we were living in Nigeria. We all have to be brainwashed. I particularly dislike the ones with black people doing silly dances - I think it is mocking.

All the yukky wokery getting plastered all over is just the pits! Tampons, wet wipes smeared with yuk, wee🤮 love honey (!?) It's as if the 30/40 something and types have just discovered bodily functions and have to shout about them like a dopey adolescent! Oh and of course they've discovered to hat sex can be fun too, cos were all so bad at it that the world nearly died out when we were young.........

I avoid them all whenever possible - and particularly dislike so many ones aimed at older folk, normalising disability and incontinence in the over fifties. My pet hate, though, as a vegan, is the little girl promoting meat and dairy. How much have tax payers spent on that?

I think those cute meerkats are just the best ! They've been trotting around for decades now, OTT scenarios...nothing to do with the product whatever that is?! ...on second thoughts, yep, get rid I'd be so embarrassed to admit I worked for the agency peddling that tripe still!

The one advertising pads for women who continually wet themselves

I feel they're normalising female incontinence when really we should be seeking treatment for it.

There are too many to count, but the one I REALLY hate is that Ionos ad with the small German sounding woman with the high pointy hairdo and big glasses. Detest it with a passion,

The toothpaste one for me. DH and me often have our evening meal on a tray, and to watch a woman spitting bloodstained toothpaste into the sink puts me right off. 🤢 It came on so often around meal times, so I wrote to the complaints department. It stopped for a while, and I haven’t seen it shown as often!
If you don’t like it, complain!

Those bloody meerkats! They're well past their sell-by date.

Rude!

Definitely the Omaze advert grates on me every time.
Hurtegretan Expeditions makes me repeat it in a Danish accent!

I call it 'Hooty Grooty' ! I like Joanna Lumley but even she can't stop the irritation of this ad.

Horrible flowery perfume one, anything knicker related, Go compare-really had enough of that bloke, anything with Antndec, Dylan, Lineker, etc. The Saga miserable holiday one makes me laugh tho.

So many!
It seems no one has a filter anymore and anything goes. I particularly object to incontinance being portrayed as a female issue. Where are the men who have issues? No little chats with their mates whilst at the gym is there? Some of the sanitary wear adverts are a bit graphic too. Love honey OMG. I am all for normalisation but have my limits. I fear for our childrens children where modesty seems to be a thing of the past.

I came on to post that I’ve just seen a man advertising his new Tena incontinence pants!

Strangely enough good adverts, as far as advertising goes, are the ones that you remember and recall the product/name even if you loath them!
I hate the one about recirculating toilet smells. Simply put the lid down, that's what it's for.

cookiemonster66 Sat 18-Feb-23 11:53:40

Lindt chocolate balls - No-body ever eats a chocolate like that, like they are massaging it with their lips, kissing it, wrapping their lips around it, EAT it like a normal person and throw the whole thing in your mouth! drives me mad, I will not even buy the things because the advert drives me crazy! even when they update the ads, every model eats it in the same way, shove it in like the rest of us normal people!

Colliedolly Sat 18-Feb-23 11:51:11

Definitely daisy daisy daisy. And “my lot know how to party” lol. Do they ……really!

Keekaboo Sat 18-Feb-23 11:49:38

Nationwide ! Dreadful advert if you can call it that.

I too generally record lots of programmes I’m interested in and buzz through the adverts.
Also the sound seems louder during any advert break or is that maybe my imagination.

I hate the adverts for sanitary towels where you see someone sitting on the toilet and you see red liquid being poured onto a pad. Totally unnecessary. There is a new advert where everyone is dressed in period costume and a woman at the table is talking about the “bloody mess down there”. It’s an ad for tampons. The same with ads for Tena Lady, etc. I’m not interested if a little bit of wee comes out, thank you. Everyone who has periods, which is half the population, knows all about sanitary towels and tampons and where to get them and they do not need to be advertised, especially at all hours of the day when children are watching. I hate the latest love honey advert too about the rose, especially the woman with long, wavy red hair, who pulls horrendous faces. It’s cringeworthy.

The dating app advert where he contorts his face to look like the Picasso painting that they are gazing at in the art gallery. I always wonder if the woman on the date really thinks it is funny, or is just laughing to be polite?!

Sweetpea60 Sat 18-Feb-23 11:45:55

The main ones I can't abide are the funeral adverts sometimes you get one follow another, we all know we're not here forever so we don't need to be reminded of it day in day out. Also the wren kitchen where couples are all smiley and dancing round the kitchen ,just awful. Go compare ad is just as annoying to.

And the feminine incontinence pads one, where the woman dies yoga and tells her friend that she’s letting it all out, now she has her proper pads 😳 yes, I’m sure all women talk graphically like this about leakage…
