Loving this drama with Martin Sheen playing KW. What a strange person he was but I can remember watching him in the carry on films and loving him....so funny. I highly recommend.

I really liked Kenneth Williams when I was a child. I thought he was brilliant.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be watching

Kenneth Williams was truly wonderful, a one off and his appearances on chat shows were (and are on YouTube) a joy.

He was brilliant but spent most of his career resenting the roles he played. I read his biography/auto bio (can't remember which) and it was really rather sad. He came across as really quite bitter and very scathing about his follow Carry on actors.

I do think Martin Sheen is a great actor.

I had a friend who stayed at the same hotel as Kenneth Williams and his mother (friend was on honeymoon). She said how nice he was a smile and chat each day.

I loved Kenneth Williams, so talented and funny and witty. I equally loved Stanley Baxter, often think his contribution is overlooked sometimes. He was such an observant comic and his mimicry was superb.

The Carry On films wouldn't have been the same without KW. "Infamy, infamy! They've all got it in for me".
I think that was him?

Do you mean Michael Sheen?

One of the comedy greats, very much missed.
We used to have cassettes of him reading the William books - utterly brilliant.

Who else remembers him in Round the Horne? ‘Oh, hello, I’m Julian and this is my friend Sandy’ - at Bona Homes (or whatever it was).
Not forgetting Rambling Sid Rumpole (I might have got the surname wrong…)

I saw this a long time ago. As usual Michael Sheen was brilliant. Kenneth Williams had quite an unhappy life but produced such wonderful comedy.
