Anyone else watch this on Channel 5 last night?

Starring Jane Seymour as a bored, newly retired lecturer who is going to fill in time investigating crimes. Sounds familiar?

Shades of Rosemary and Thyme, Murder She Wrote and Murder In Provence.

Jane is ‘Harry’, I assume short for Harriet, and is meant to be feisty and tough, but comes across as rather foul mouthed, always with a wine glass close at hand, bossy and rude.

Daft plot, awkward relationship with son who is a police officer, but no match for Mum’s sleuthing skills.

The first of eight episodes, don’t think I’ll bother with any more.

Jane Seymour looks good for 72 however. If she’s had ‘work’ done, it has been done well.

No I didn’t think it would be my ‘cup of tea’ so I won’t bother.

I imagined it to be just as you describe calendargirl
