For anyone looking for some fabulous filming from angles that the average tourist is never likely to see, I recommend The Grand Canyon presented by Nick Knowles on Channel 5 in two parts.

I am never likely to go there but have now viewed more of it than my friend who lives only a day trip away in New Mexico. Spectacular filming.

I'm lucky enough to have been there. Amazing experience. Even did the walk on the glass platform. Hairy indeed!

My overriding memory of the Grand Canyon was having a father next to me with a very young child ( toddler age) and he was letting him run around close to the edge where there wasn’t a proper fence and being terrified that he would go over the edge. I still shudder when I think of it! But I will watch the programme. What really struck me about it was the quietness.

Oh I love it when the Grand Canyon is mentioned as I can claim bragging rights as I've 'done' it by mule! Down by mule, stay the night, then back up by mule. It was 2012.

This YouTube video, it's not mine as I was hanging on for dear life, gives a flavour!
