LBC changes - perhaps to level up the conversation or simply coincidence?

From this weekend I have just heard that Colin Brazier and Clare Foges will be taking over slots at the weekend. I think it will replace Ben Kentish (Mon-Thurs 10 pm to 1 am) and Sangita Myska on Saturday afternoons.

Any ideas why?

Hello Irene
I think that they are struggling with the scheduling.
The 10 - 1am slot in particular.
Colin Brazier isn’t very good. I doubt if these arrangements are permanent.
I’ll have a look , are they moving Sangita to week days?

The good news is Nick Abbot is on tonight! 🥳

Further proof that they are constantly tinkering with 10 - 1.

I still really miss Darren sad

Sangita is still on at the weekend

The main difference that I can see is that David Lammy isn’t on, and that’s no bad thing. I hope that it continues.

Did you know that Theo Usherwood is taking time off for the considerable future?
He is looking after a family member.
JOB tweeted a wonderful tribute to him.

The only one I really listen to and even that is by no means daily or even weekly is O’Brien. I listen by default to the chap before him who is a bit too naff imo.

I often think Marr would be worth a listen, but I’m always doing other stuff then.

Here is this week’s schedule.
They seem to change it every week since January when Darren left

Hi Fanny. Ditto Darren ++

I got it wrong apologies, Sangita is still on and I hope you are right in that they are playing about with the 10 pm - 1 am slot. As long as they leave Nick Abbot alone, I really don't mind because he is an absolute gem in my humble opinion. Yes I knew Theo Usherwood was having a break so is it permanent? He is caring for a family member as I remember it.

Oh no! They are announcing it now, so Colin Brazier is in that slot now.
He was really rude to Sophie (the retired nurse with the disabled daughter). I don’t like him at all. It’s not a good move.
And I can’t imagine my boyfriend, Ian Payne, is very happy, I think that he wanted the slot back

I wish I could warm to Nick Abbot but I don't like the silly bits but I will keep trying also I just want to say I absolutely love listning to Ian Payne such a lovely voice with a hint of humor.
Also Clive is nice.
Globe player is great for listening on catch up

FannyCornforth Thu 20-Apr-23 15:05:49

Hands off Ian Mary!

No way he is just perfect to wake up to and start the day with a smile.
