I watched this documentary on Charles’ life last night. I found it interesting, rather poignant, and thought it gave an insight in what it must be like to have been born into the RF.

I then turned over to watch ‘The Windsors Coronation Special’.
I enjoyed that too, and laughed out loud at certain parts.

Both programmes had their place in this Coronation week.

I agree. I did exactly the same Calendargirl
and I loved the ending of the second programme. I thought Princess Anne was a bit harsh but loved the York girls.

The Windsors were as good as ever. Harry and Meghan are an absolute gift for them, so much mileage in their therapy speak. I love the way Eugenie and Beatrice manage to combine their dim Sloane characters with actually being rather sweet girls. I was sorry we didn't see Fergie but as Katy Wix has left Ghosts perhaps she was too busy with other things.

I read Harry Enfield saying that he'd heard that Charles thinks The Windsors is rather cruel but Harry thinks The Queen is worse because so many people believe everything in it is true. Talking of cruelty I read that when Prince Philip saw Charles playing Macbeth at university he laughed and told him he sounded like the Goons. Now that's cruel.

I loved the exaggerated posh accents in the Windsors - very funny. But I didn't find the sketches particularly funny. The previous programmes were better, I think.
