Anyone else watching this. I'm totally hooked and am watching nothing else at the moment. Somehow I missed it when first shown many years ago. I love it. Set in a time when life was simpler, harder but so heartwarming. If you want a gentle series to watch this is the one.😊

Thanks for the tip off! Being a Waltons fan, I also liked Little House on the Prairie.

Not sure if we can get that or not.

I am finding with older programmes, about 1/3 I am like, ooh. And 2/3, surprised I was so into that at the time.

I loved the Waltons and have watched reruns several times, I wasn’t so keen on the Little House on the Prairie, but MissOops loved it so I’ll let her know it’s on again.

Remember it well from the 70's, with Michael Langdon, who also starred as Little Joe Cartwright in "Bonanza". I might have a look, but often find these old shows just a wee bit dated, and sometimes wonder what I saw in them back then.

The t.v series is a travesty of what were very interesting and informative books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. They even omit a member of the family. (Grace).

I watched it back in the day a classic as programmes go unlike some of the rubbish offered on tv now.

I saw some of the original ones. They were charming - but unrealistic nostalgia gone mad. Life wasn't simpler back then, it was very harsh.

I loved the books when young and so did DD. She bought me Laura Wilder's Biography whilst living in the States a very interesting book.

I bought the whole set of these books to read to GC, but as I was doing so I had to alter some bits - the assumption that "Indians" were bad jumped out from many pages.

Grace was played by twins, Brenda and Wendi Turnbaugh in the later episodes.

I watched it years ago, I used to skip church sometimes to watch!
Found it when looking for Neighbours on freevee.
Am loving it again, on series 4 now. Often have tears at the end.
It's a brilliant series, about people who really cared about how they treated others. Grace is mentioned but doesn't feature much.
Sadly Michael Landon who wrote it and starred, died in 1991 aged 54.

Grace isn't omitted in the episodes I'm watching.
