Oh you’re right Chestnut, apologies.

I remember Greg from “The A Word” too Cats and Morven Christie played his wife.

Joe's parents were Alison (Morven Christie) and Paul (Lee Ingleby) in The A Word. Greg McHugh played Alison's brother Eddie.

DamaskRose He does have a lovely face, doesn't he - great smile, too.

Oh I do like Greg McHugh, he has such a lovely face!

Glad you found out who it was. I loved Greg McHugh as Gary: Tank Commander and as Teddy in Guilt.

At last! ITVX have answered.

The actor is Greg McHugh. Apparently he was in something called Fresh Meat but I remember him from The A Word where he played Eddie.

No, none of the above - Conleth Hill looks a lot like him, but I don't think it is. I've emailed ITVX to see if they can tell me but I'm still waiting for a reply and to wait until I can successfully record it to take a screenshot.

Many thanks for trying, though.

Grannmarie

Is it Conleth Hill, who played Lord Varys in Game of Thrones?

It took me a while to recognise him in Magpie Murders, because he had hair!

Of course!

Tom Selleck - Blue Bloods

Is it Matthew McFadyen?

I saw the advert last night, at least I spotted Benedict Cumberbatch, but by the time it had registered, I forgot to look!

Will try again when I see the ad next.

Yes, it is infuriating. Perhaps Sky Glass will come to the rescue. Wish my memory was better.

FannyCornforth Mon 08-May-23 10:24:19

I’ve got an ‘X-ray feature’ on my all singing and dancing Sky Glass.
It tells you exactly who everyone on screen is and tells you stuff about them.

If I see what you are talking about I’ll try it.

Or give us a screenshot if you can!

It’s infuriating, isn’t it smile

Put ITV onto record. Zap through until you get to the add then pause, and go through each frame.

There are lots of ITVX promos/ads shown on ITV at the moment, and there's an actor in one of them that I know I've seen before, but can't remember where.

The ad shows a lot of series/films that you can watch on ITVX. This particular actor appears briefly (blink and you miss it) directly after a clip showing Benedict Cumberbatch who looks like he's teaching. The actor has a round face, is smiling, and is wearing glasses.

Can anybody help because it's driving me mad. Have tried searching on Google but no luck so far.
