Presenters wages

I have often wondered how TV presenters get paid? Are the wages so pitiful that they often have to do multiple jobs on TV & Radio, others seem content to do just one programme with the odd guest appearance on another programme or are they so full of themselves that they have to be in the limelight all the time. One I can think of has 3 programmes on in one day, TV x 2 and Radio.

I suspect that they are on fixed term contracts or temporary contracts and need to keep working hence having more than one job. There is the issue of being flavour of the month then out of favour for them to contend with.

Jeremy Vine is on @750K year from the BBC ....plus his channel 5 fees and whateve else he does...he and his mainly right wing panel are not representative of anyone I know so they must be there to aid the indotrination of the masses .
The views on his show make me feel sick at times ,these people dont live in the real world

Huw Edwards earns over £400,000. Garry liniker over a£ million.
I always thought most of them are self employed.

Yes, there are some astronomical figures for the annual earnings of many of our best-known presenters, but the average salary still appears to be around £35k, which is not a great deal by today's standards. That perhaps explains why many of them look for additional paid work to supplement their earnings.
