I prefer the Australian version its leaps and bounds ahead of the UK one and the presenters are lovely too.Iwas sad to hear the young Scottish/Italian presenter had died suddenly a couple of weeks ago .He was a real ray of sunshine.

I haven’t watched it for a long time.

I have been a long time fan but I found that I couldn't even be bothered to watch the last episode to the end. I was bored with the repetitive comments and the competitors snivelling about their dreams. I switched it off.

It's all so pretentious as well, the contestants often haven't mastered basic skills before attempting some ridiculous dish with lots of ingredients. My husband a former chef says it makes his teeth itch watching some of them butchering meat or trying to fillet fish.

Redhead56, I agree, and the comment “that’s a little bit rare even for me” is a sign that it’s only just stopped mooing!.

Totally agree and the blood oozing out of meat on food that looks like an art specimen is irritating me. I have watched it since the very early days I now think it’s lost the plot.

It also seems to be compulsory to include a contestant that learned to cook from their ‘Nonna’. I wait for the first appearance of Nonna every series. 😂

I am really starting to go off Master Chef. It appears to me that unless you have a passion for far eastern / Asian/ African food and (preferably) were brought up eating it or being taught to cook it by your granny, then there is little point in entering MC anymore. And why does all the food the judges like have to be laden down with chillies . I can't see the pleasure in eating food that actually hurts to eat.
