Roll up, roll up!

The old one is full, so post your Corrie thoughts and observations here.

I actually don’t know why I watch it anymore. I either dislike, or am bored by most of the story lines as they are so awful and beyond belief. There should be drama to keep us hooked, but more murders in one small street than are in any way believable, some characters that are unbelievable, or totally dislikeable, loss of much of the humour, and ridiculous stories and situations, and yet, I watch grin

To me Cassie looks as though she could do with a shower or a soak in a bath as she rarely looks clean. I agree, we need another druggie like a hole in the head.

Have the scriptwriters lost the art of writing witty one liners such as Evelyn spouts at times?

They also need to learn that less is more, dragging this Stephen nonsense on for too long.

I know, I do not have to watch it!

Calendargirl Thu 31-Aug-23 06:51:37

Perhaps Cassie can recommend her own dentist, as she has obviously had the use of one, even when homeless.

Why oh why do we need another ‘druggie’ based character? Had enough of that with Abi.

As if Dev and Kirk would sit half the afternoon in the Rovers with this near stranger, constantly buying the drinks and ‘shots’, and larking about with her?

All so unrealistic.

Does Tyrone really not wonder about her? What sort of influence will she be on his daughters, especially Hope, when they return?

Not exactly a great role model.

But if they did need a dentist, no doubt they’d get straight in for a same day appointment. On the NHS, of course.

And if Sarah had made good her threat to ring the police to come and join her and Stephen at the hotel, Detective Craigie would have been there like a shot.

It must be very reassuring to have all the emergency services right round the corner just waiting for your call.

Charleygirl5 Wed 30-Aug-23 23:09:04

pinkprincess it would appear one does not have to be ill to merit a home visit- maybe she was popping by for a chat.

If I want to make an appointment I have to drive to the surgery because I would be on the phone forever trying to get through.

Nobody there appears to need a dentist or an optician- that must save them lots of money.

Well grannynannywanny I live in close by Suffolk and have never heard it called a yard sale only in American films and we talk about gardens not yards you d say this house is having a garden sale
Cassies teeth have a life of their own as does Ryan’s most
unscar like scar

Primrose53 Wed 30-Aug-23 21:37:29

Yet another full scale row going on between Sarah and Stephen and people just 2 feet away carry on eating and chatting. 🤣

CoolCoco Wed 30-Aug-23 21:05:21

No Jenny - don’t do it!!

Aveline Wed 30-Aug-23 21:02:34

Cassie's I mean.

Aveline Wed 30-Aug-23 21:02:07

Her luminous teeth don't help

Calendargirl Wed 30-Aug-23 21:02:00

How many blokes has Jenny got through in the last couple of years?

Johnny, Leo, Owen, Stephen, ……

What do all these women see in Stephen?

Doodledog Wed 30-Aug-23 21:00:37

Cassie is awful, isn't she? It's something about her mouth - she always seems to sneer. I think it's the actress, as Lyndsey Corkhill did the same.

pinkprincess Wed 30-Aug-23 20:59:14

Calendargirl

And here’s Doctor Gaddas doing a home visit.

Unheard of to call on a youngish woman just returning from shopping.

Don’t think our GP surgery does home visits nowadays.

As for that awful Cassie.

When she smiles with those teeth, eyes and eyebrows, she looks really scary and evil.

Plus another ludicrous storyline.

I want to live in Coronation Street just to get an immediate appointment with my GP, I might even get a home visit if I am very good!

Doodledog Wed 30-Aug-23 20:57:26

Oh dear. Jennie is next on his victim list.

Doodledog Wed 30-Aug-23 20:50:29

And available for house calls at a moment's notice, too grin.

Ooh that Dr Gaddas! Miracle worker.

Doodledog Wed 30-Aug-23 20:32:09

Aveline

Summer's diabetes and eating disorder has cleared up nicely

That'll be the miraculous medical centre - it's amazing what they can do when you can just walk in and get an appointment smile).

The Stephen storyline is long overdue reaching a conclusion. It’s dragged on so long I can’t remember all the folk he’s murdered . I’ll be seriously cheesed off if he disappears without being caught.

Doodledog Tue 29-Aug-23 13:19:26

Bring it on! I am so fed up with him and that stupid storyline.

Aveline Tue 29-Aug-23 12:19:23

I was thinking 'Oh Gawd. Hope Stephen doesn't have to murder Sarah now!'
Looks like the end is in sight for him. At last.

Grannynannywanny Tue 29-Aug-23 10:50:58

Whoever applied the "make up" for Ryan's burn did a dreadful job last night. It appeared to have been stuck on and was a much darker colour than usual. It also appears to vary in size-it is truly awful in my opinion.

I was thinking the same Charleygirl5. It looked like one of my 7 year old grandson’s home made pepperoni pizzas 😃

glammanana Tue 29-Aug-23 10:15:01

It looks that at last the Stephen saga may be unravelling slowly its gone on far too long now.
You can bank on the Newton & Ridley buy out going belly up and the builder brothers lose out on their money.
Why when Billy is an Arch Deacon doesn't he have inside knowledge of GF flats or houses for Paul.

The lie from Sarah about the equity release will come back to bite her.
