Roll up, roll up!

The old one is full, so post your Corrie thoughts and observations here.

Does anyone ‘fill a flask’ nowadays?

I ask because as you walk down the street, even in our little rural market town, people are always swigging from a Costa cup.

Or of course the water bottle. Don’t know how we functioned years ago without imbibing water every touch or turn.

At our aquacise class, an elderly woman has her water bottle on the side of the pool, frequently stopping to have a sip.

Not sure why, she doesn’t do enough to give her a thirst.

(Sorry, I digress from Corrie!)

At least it appears to be shown on the usual days this week and my birdbrain can go back to sleep.

Ryan's scar is on the move, it appears to me to be creeping under his chin.

Considering the factory girls at least are on a minimum wage Roys Rolls and the Bistro will not close down anytime soon. Few appear to be capable of making a sandwich at home or filling a flask.

Daisy never shows any interest in little Bertie.

Calendargirl Tue 31-Oct-23 07:18:14

The Daniel/Lauren lesson seemed a bit hit-and-miss.

One minute they were engrossed in the book they were studying, next minute he jumps up to take Bertie trick-or-treating.

Daisy’s mask was very becoming.

I still can’t stop chuckling over Devs wrong word emphasises he’s as bad as Mr Bailey and Yazmeen

If for instance he was meant to say you’re a bad boy he would go you’re a bad boy

CoolCoco Tue 31-Oct-23 05:46:24

Daniel must be mad giving private tuition to Lauren after his experiences with Max and Summer.

Doodledog Thu 26-Oct-23 14:08:48

It has to be a difficult thing to admit though. Particularly when you effectively abandoned him as a child - it would be natural for a mother to blame herself if he turned out badly.

Poor old Audrey still can’t accept that her son is a murderer.David is the only one in that household who says it like it is.

Calendargirl Thu 26-Oct-23 07:43:21

I don’t know if Nurse Aggie is on compassionate leave or what, but she has been away for ages looking after ‘Auntie’.

Not missed though, as her acting is terrible.

Don’t know who does any cleaning or housework in the Bailey household, as Dee Dee apparently doesn’t know how to wash up, and no one else seems to lift a finger.

CoolCoco Thu 26-Oct-23 07:39:11

What is the point of the Baileys? Aggie has been missing for ages. Ed, Ronnie and Michael seem to sit in the cafe all day. Ed has had a miraculous cure from his gambling addiction. I like Dee Dee but she has a mismatched boyfriend.

Calendargirl Thu 26-Oct-23 06:59:17

Hard to believe it’s 4 years sine Sinead ‘died’.

Where does the time go?

And we’re still here, chuntering on about the acting, the storylines, just Corrie in general.

And still we watch!

Calendargirl Thu 26-Oct-23 06:55:48

Aveline

It's amazing that absolutely nobody seems to miss the Rovers which used to be everyone's second home. It's not even mentioned.

That’s because they are still flocking to Roy’s Rolls, the Bistro, Speed Dahl, Debbie’s ‘hotel’, (where is that, I thought she was bankrupt).

No one seems to stay at home to eat or drink.

And who would believe anything Stephen told them anyway? I am really disliking Audrey at the moment, before that she was just mildly annoying.

Calendargirl Tue 24-Oct-23 20:46:33

The Weatherfield Police have done it again!

Tim and Beth hadn’t even arrived back at the Street after the altercation with the other cabbie, but the police had already been informed and had arrived to question Tim. So quick!

And it doesn’t matter that Stephen told Jenny he wasn’t going to hurt her, how was Peter expected to know that? He wasn’t privy to their conversation.

Doodledog Tue 24-Oct-23 11:40:05

Thanks for the heads up.

I'm out this evening, but will pick it up on catch up when I get back.

Charleygirl5 Tue 24-Oct-23 11:38:47

Please do not forget there is another episode this evening. I thought the sport had finished, obviously not.

Allsorts Mon 23-Oct-23 23:02:01

The hospital in Weatherfield are truly excellent, one day on life support the next business as usual apart from a plaster. I do like Connie and Trevor in the interval despite Connie being a little bit controlling.😬

lemsip Mon 23-Oct-23 20:41:48

the plaster on tims head has shifted since he was in the cafe earlier

vegansrock Wed 18-Oct-23 21:29:55

How come the factory hadn’t folded up yet? They always seem on the brink of collapse whenever they loose an order. Now Stephen seems to have squirrelled away thousands - where did all that dosh come from? Where will all the staff get jobs if it folds - the new Rovers, Roy’s or the Kabin. No one ever seems to get a job that’s not on their doorstep. Even Daisy who could get a job anywhere settles for shifts at the Bistro.

lemsip Wed 18-Oct-23 20:13:25

at last they've dumbed down ryan's scar!

horrible daisy sleeping with ryan, when will daniel find out.

tim sally and elaine always funny to watch

Charleygirl5 Wed 18-Oct-23 09:07:05

I noticed Tim was not given an IV infusion of normal saline to help his dehydration. He would have been unable to move in the boot and certainly would have been too dehydrated to shout never mind move.

Has Ed gambled away all of his money?

Primrose53 Wed 18-Oct-23 09:03:22

Poor Daniel is going to be very upset when he finds out about Daisy/Ryan.

Nannee49 Wed 18-Oct-23 03:26:03

Another one here getting weird vibes from Dee Dee's boyfriend *vegansrock & atlee*which is a shame as I've grown to like her character, she's due some dodgy times if we're right.

Loving the George/Todd double act too - old school Corrie humour at it's best and a brilliant turn around for Todd's bad boy character coupled with his lovely support for Paul.

Attlee Tue 17-Oct-23 23:35:12

No, not just you vegansrock.
He knows something about Ed and I also think that Ed has applied for a credit card in Norris' name ☹️
