Roll up, roll up!

The old one is full, so post your Corrie thoughts and observations here.

So Gemma’s new PA job is full time?

Who on earth will be looking after the quads, doing the housework, cooking, shopping……?

confused

Calendargirl Fri 11-Aug-23 20:32:09

Are those five children the entire number who attend Big Shotz?

It will be a small production.

And a Memorial Service with so few attendees.

😢

Primrose53 Fri 11-Aug-23 20:19:05

A new Ruby tonight.

Grannynannywanny Thu 10-Aug-23 10:01:01

I watch Corrie and Emmerdale and lately they appear to be competing to see who can come up with the most outlandish and unbelievable storylines. Both programmes are beyond silly in recent weeks and I’m wondering if they have the same team of useless scriptwriters.

Maggymay Thu 10-Aug-23 09:40:38

Where are the quads when Gemma and Chesney are in the Rovers ?.It would cost a small fortune to send four children to nursery and as for poor Joseph he must be at holiday club 24 hours a day.

Serendipity22 Thu 10-Aug-23 09:29:33

Love love Corrie.....BUT. I read yesterday that Stephen's crimes are AT LAST going to become known and he's going ...yeahhhh.

Hmmm the storyline with Henry and Gemma! Hmmm it takes a lot of digesting, the storyline of Bernie and Dev hmmm, that too takes a lot of digesting, everyone else I can swollow ( apart from Gail Platt, McIntyre, Tilsley, blah blah blah ...she does my tree in )
I think Dee Dee is great too. Ohh can't leave it without mentioning Adam's hair .... if he avoided the scissors, it would trail down to Baraclava Terrace !!!! 🤔

sodapop Thu 10-Aug-23 09:08:08

It's ludicrous to imagine Gemma as anyone's PA, this story line like Bernie & Dev is beyond silly.

BlueBelle Thu 10-Aug-23 07:39:09

But then can you imagine Dev and what’s her face together that’s one of the daftest coupling I ve ever come across

Calendargirl Thu 10-Aug-23 07:15:38

Especially when Gemma admits she snores, talks with her mouth full, wears ghastly clothes, straw like hair……oh and the ready made family of course.

Oh, I know I sound so mean, but honestly…. Even if posh Henry fancied a bit of slumming, it wouldn’t be Gemma.

As you say, Daisy maybe….

vegansrock Thu 10-Aug-23 04:46:30

I can imagine Henry fancying Daisy but Gemma? Really? Or it it the writers’ attempt at comedy?

Namsnanny Thu 10-Aug-23 00:25:39

I haven't watched it for yonks, but your description BlueBelle
has made me want to! gringrin

I might look at catchup tomorrow

BlueBelle Wed 09-Aug-23 23:43:25

Tonight’s episode was dire in every way including Adams hair which seems to have a life of its own
The ridiculous storyline with Gemma and the newton/ Ridley bloke was awful Yazmeen doing her usual shouting some words and putting the emphasise on the wrong words Poor Harry who just shouts words out (I guess you can forgive him as he’s only young)
The storylines were awful and the acting even worse

Calendargirl Wed 09-Aug-23 20:15:24

Adam’s hair tonight!

😳

fancythat Wed 09-Aug-23 08:01:34

In old storylines, sometimes someone inherited some money, or had a lottery/horses win.
I dont listen to Corrie enough to know if someone on the street has had a windfall lately?

Aveline Tue 08-Aug-23 21:34:40

grin excellent!

BlueBelle Tue 08-Aug-23 20:55:03

I think Stephen will put Michael in the frame for the murder and drop him in it
Yazmeen gives me the creeps she’s terrible seems to get worse show
Be good if Damon did buy Rovers and Sarah could renew her relationship with him and become the new landlady 😂😂😂 then they could find she was actually expecting twins and only one died and her and Damon could be a family and poor Harry
could come out of hiding and Adam can take his greasy head off somewhere else

Aveline Tue 08-Aug-23 20:46:10

The script writers really should be picking our brains. We come up with great storylines.

NotTooOld Tue 08-Aug-23 17:49:34

Yes, that's right, Aveline, the factory was owned by the staff. I seem to remember them all getting excited about their shares. Funny how these story lines just disappear.

I rather like that young bloke from Newton and Ridley who's sweet on Gemma (why?) Surely he wouldn't take her and the quads on, would he? And what about poor Chesney - and little whatsit, Chesney's son?

Looks like Stephen is about to get his comeupance and I was wondering if there could be some connection between the murders and saving the Rovers. Perhaps Jenny will somehow come into some money and the Rover's will be saved that way.

Aveline Tue 08-Aug-23 11:20:56

I thought the factory was owned by the staff. That seems to have faded out. The Rovers will be saved by someone. It would be good if it was Damon after all...

Lovetopaint037 Tue 08-Aug-23 10:55:50

Yes the Rovers will be saved either by a new comer to emerge or the Street will club together with them all owning it.

vegansrock Tue 08-Aug-23 02:11:56

I’m surprised Stu didn’t know who Eliza’s dad was - he must have been in a relationship with his daughter- or was Stu in prison when all that was going on? Who’d want a massage from Bernie in Devs front parlour? I doubt if many of the cash strapped inhabitants of Corrie will be queuing up. Someone will come along and save the Rovers - hopefully not Debbie Webster.

Primrose53 Mon 07-Aug-23 20:26:33

It’s Eliza’s Dad …. What a surprise!!

Is the old man singing somebody famous?

sodapop Mon 07-Aug-23 17:22:19

I agree about Yasmin she really has become irritating, poor Stu deserves better.
Be interesting to see what happens to the Rovers, I think Newton & Ridley are going to refuse to buy it.

Aveline Mon 07-Aug-23 17:17:44

Shona's horrible son is in jail

CatsCatsCats Mon 07-Aug-23 17:16:29

NotTooOld - I hope they have researchers making sure none of these relationships are incestuous smile
