Roll up, roll up!

The old one is full, so post your Corrie thoughts and observations here.

Sally and Elaine looked as if they were searching for a lost cat.
That made me genuinely laugh out loud! They really did.

I agree about Audrey. There is a lot that could be done to explore how a mother comes to terms with the terrible actions of a loved child, but this really just seemed like a tiny nod in that direction.

I didn't like the 'previews' of Smudged Sarah that have been in the last could have episodes - it's soap opera, not some sort of horror film.

I agree that last night's episode was a bit lame compared to the previous one. Is anyone going to start a book on what will be happening at Christmas?

Audrey is so irritating.

I know a mother’s love is unconditional, but accusing Peter of murdering Stephen in cold blood, whilst seemingly unaware of all her darling son’s mishaps…..

This episode was a bit of a letdown after all the build-up this week. DH reckoned it all went on a bit too long.

Sarah went through a multitude of changes - first knocked out, then up and strong enough to knock Stephen out, then looking as glamourous as usual as she got into the ambulance holding a towel on top of her head. And finally looking as pale as a ghost and with smudged mascara as she lay in her hospital bed.

I'm sorry Peter's leaving - hope it's not for too long - but this must be his exit line. I thought it would be about an argument with Ryan that led to him going.

And David is so funny. When everyone was saying 'when they find Stephen', he kept saying 'catch' Stephen. I love him when he's being awkward and bolshie and telling it how it is (from his point of view).

Looks to me like Sarah has given in and had lip fillers like most younger women do.

Very surprised as she is a lovely looking woman who does not look her age at all.

Thanks Doodle, I had a feeling Tim wouldn’t die, but let’s hope he’s found soon.

Clawdy Sat 14-Oct-23 08:09:09

Yes, it was a let-down, apart from Jenny nobody looked really horrified and anguished, Gail looked rather unbothered, and Sally and Elaine looked as if they were searching for a lost cat.

Calendargirl Sat 14-Oct-23 07:22:04

It was all a bit of a let down last night.

Would both Sarah and Jenny have been wandering round an abandoned pub, swigging out-of-date sherry with a three times murderer on the loose? But of course, Jenny was unaware of all that, so it was helpful when Stephen confessed to all his misdoings whilst holding her hostage.

After Wednesday’s dramatic episode, a bit tame really.

I’m pretty sure that the police would have been able to trace the call when Tim phoned them. They had a record that a call had been made, which I think would be enough to go on. It won’t find him now though, as Stephen smashed the phone.

vegansrock Sat 14-Oct-23 01:56:11

The cab office seems not to have noticed a missing cab Surely they have a way of tracing its location? Didn’t the dog walker hear the cries for help or think an abandoned taxi in the middle of a wood unusual?

Doodledog Sat 14-Oct-23 00:55:48

We don’t know, Maddie. He was attacked by Stephen, who put him (unconscious) in the boot of his taxi, which is abandoned in the middle of nowhere. He was last seen starting to come round and shout for help.

maddyone Sat 14-Oct-23 00:17:55

Well I’ve been away for a couple of days and didn’t watch, but I knew you lot wouldn’t let me down. So although details are a little patchy, I’ve got the gist of what has happened just by reading here. I’m still unsure of what has happened to Tim though.

Beechnut Fri 13-Oct-23 23:53:17

Will Adam and Sarah get back together?

Doodledog Fri 13-Oct-23 23:42:41

Poor Peter. He’ll be a miss. Did he go to jail for bigamy back in the day?

Will Craigie rescue Tim? Will Carla get her money back? What will Audrey do if her precious son has mortgaged her house?
Tune in next week for another exciting episode grin

Charleygirl5 Fri 13-Oct-23 22:06:46

I believe Peter was leaving Corrie so I assume this will be his exit line. If he is languishing in jail he can always return in a few years.
Where was Craig this evening?

Aveline Fri 13-Oct-23 21:54:12

Just hoping poor Tim's OK. Peter will be off to jail though sad.
Glad that storyline is almost over. Now let's get on with the Rovers refurb and restaffing!

lemsip Fri 13-Oct-23 21:08:14

on now I should have said. audrey talks so different in real life.

Beechnut Fri 13-Oct-23 21:06:42

Police all over the place to start with then took an age to show up at the end.

Kandinsky Fri 13-Oct-23 21:04:59

I’m actually going to miss Stephen.
I’ve really enjoyed his storyline.

lemsip Fri 13-Oct-23 21:04:17

programme all about Barbara Knox at 90. rita.

BlueBelle Fri 13-Oct-23 21:01:09

Well he’s gone we haven’t got to listen to that awful voice any more shame he escape any punishment though Well Tim’s a,I’ve so how’s that going to end ?

Calendargirl Fri 13-Oct-23 21:00:14

Oh dear, where was Doctor Gaddas and Nurse Aggie when you really needed them?

Calendargirl Fri 13-Oct-23 20:48:05

It’ll be all down to Audrey having him adopted 60 years ago.

What happened to his business in Milaaan? Thought he was such a successful businessman.

BlueBelle Fri 13-Oct-23 20:46:47

Sarah made a miraculous recovery almost dead then clocking him one

Doodledog Fri 13-Oct-23 20:42:30

Oh, poor Stephen. I feel sorry for him now - he's misunderstood really, and a product of his childhood.

Oh wait. My mistake, he deserves everything he gets, the self-pitying toad.

Doodledog Fri 13-Oct-23 20:39:12

Stephen's ham stammer is getting on my nerves - he always does it when he's nervous and it's so badly done - 'I I I I I I am sorry, I I I can't wait any more.'
