Roll up, roll up!

The old one is full, so post your Corrie thoughts and observations here.

I do enjoy CS but last nights episode went too far IMO. Violence can be implied, there is no necessity to be so graphic!!!? I stand by my view and found it shocking. The strangulation in the car , the hit on Tims head with the metal tube followed by Stephen astride Tim suffocating him -just to much for me!

Doodledog Tue 10-Oct-23 12:04:20

I don't think many children will be watching Corrie. It's not like back in the day when everyone had to watch what their parents watched and there was very little choice. Now there are dozens of channels, and hundreds of options, and children are likely to have access to TVs or devices of their own.

It was violent though - although how they could have a serial killer story without violence I don't know grin. Was the Richard Hillman story less violent? Probably not, really.

I hope Stephen is arrested soon. If it happens at the airport, will they have Craigie there with the handcuffs? And Nurse Aggie ready to help the injured Tim?

Shelflife

CS last night was unbelievably violent! I have been a Corrie fan for many years, but ,...........I was horrified at the attack on Tim last night. This is shown at 8am when many children are watching ( they shouldn't be!) Am I out of touch when I say I am very worried about the effect this has on the development of children and young teenagers who watch this ? We are living in an increasingly violent society and I do believe that scenes like last nights have an adverse effect on the developing minds of young people. I am horrified!!!

I totally agree with you Shelflife I think the TV Company think they try to cover themselves by stating at the beginning of the programme that violent scenes will be shown, still very violent though .
After seeing Stephen changing the tickets to a single traveller last night are we going to be taken to the Airport and Stephen arrested as he is boarding the plane ??

I also hope he does not make her breakfast tomorrow as it may well be her last.

Beechnut Tue 10-Oct-23 09:11:24

I don’t think Tim is dead. The helicopter overhead saved him. I did wonder about Stephen suggesting Jenny had a bath!

Charleygirl5 Tue 10-Oct-23 08:22:23

Craig does not appear to have a boss who would have been on the scene if another body had been found. I so hope Tim is injured and not dead.

Is Stephen just going to run to the airport by himself, leaving Jenny unharmed now he has decided she will not be going with him? His fake accent really irritates me.

Clawdy Tue 10-Oct-23 07:58:15

Can't think Tim is dead, think we would have heard the actor is leaving if so. Although Seb's death did come as a shock, as I remember.

Allsorts Tue 10-Oct-23 06:16:18

Do sorry about the typos, honestly they changed although I checked as I go along, don't know why.

Allsorts Tue 10-Oct-23 06:14:35

Weather field only seems to have Cragie. I am sick of Stephen and hope his fall from grace is quick his, how could Jenny even like him is one of life's mysteries. Sais Des and pattner. Do hope Tim isnt killed off, he and Sally make a great double act, we need more humour on the street, it's become very heavy on the darker side. Think the bad actors should go, there's quite a few now. Kill them off not Tim.

vegansrock Tue 10-Oct-23 04:25:08

Stephen’s fingerprints will be all over Tim’s car - why hasn’t it been found? Also Tim dropped his wallet when running away from Stephen - is that significant? Why is Craigie seemingly leading every investigation?

Doodledog Mon 09-Oct-23 23:38:55

I will be very annoyed if Tim is dead. He's one of my favourite characters, and doesn't deserve to lose his life to further Stephen's murderous cause.

I'm hoping not though - I think if Stephen had killed him we would have seen the body. It's a good job Wetherfield police have got Craigie, isn't it? That call may not have been acted on if not for him. I don't know how they couldn't trace the call though - I thought the police could recognise mobile numbers, and they can certainly trace them, even if the caller didn't stay on the line for long.

maddyone Mon 09-Oct-23 23:18:29

Is Tim definitely dead? The car wasn’t set on fire in the end, so maybe that could mean he’s just unconscious and will be found. I hope so, he is a nice character.

Primrose53 Mon 09-Oct-23 22:42:36

I hope dozy Jenny finally works out what he’s like.

How come nobody else at Streetcars hasn’t reported the cab missing?

CoolCoco Mon 09-Oct-23 21:05:38

Ooh no Tim was one of the characters I liked.

LauraNorderr Mon 09-Oct-23 20:27:09

All hotting up now

Doodledog Wed 04-Oct-23 23:02:18

I don't want Stephen to kill Tim, or Jenny, come to that. I'd sacrifice Elaine if it meant him getting caught in the act.

Sarah knows he was trying to defraud Audrey - maybe he'll attack her? Or maybe there will be a conflab and they'll all compare notes and send for Craigie to arrest him?

Dylan and Liam will be the next generation of difficult teens. There can't be any who don't get into some sort of trouble - it's the law in Soapland.

lemsip Wed 04-Oct-23 21:40:58

the net is closing for stephen, about time too. and what's elaine come back for. and what does sarah know about stephen?

why are dylan and liam hanging around with those much older so bigger boys.

Primrose53 Wed 04-Oct-23 21:38:51

I hope Sarah and also Tim get together and compare notes. Elaine and David also know quite a bit.
I want to see Stephen behind bars.

Grannynannywanny Wed 04-Oct-23 21:04:10

At last the net seems to be closing in on Stephen. I hope he doesn’t escape without facing up to all he’s done. We had the usual nonsense in the final scene. Something vitally important and top secret being discussed on the street while the person they’re talking about happens to be across the street and can here every word with their super sonic hearing 🙄

Clawdy Tue 03-Oct-23 21:55:59

Yes, Dev's squealing is becoming even more annoying now.

Grannynannywanny Tue 03-Oct-23 13:59:02

I wondered why Billy was dressed in his clerical garb for the wedding ceremony rather than a nice suit or whatever. I don’t know any vicars so maybe that’s traditional. My son in law is a firefighter but he didn’t wear his firefighter’s helmet for the ceremony 😆

Doodledog Tue 03-Oct-23 13:12:24

I like DeeDee too. Yasmeen's acting is so bad, and all she does is moan. I hope she takes Eliza to Pakistan to escape the evil dad.

Dev does get worse, and he is now too old to have affectations. I have never met anyone who talks like that - it's so false. What's the deal with Aadi and Courtney? Does she really care about him or is she using him? He seems smitten with her, but they are ill matched. Also, are Nina and Asha still a couple? That relationship is very underplayed.

The wedding was lovely. I hope the nasty bishop doesn't sack Billy for getting married - he's got enough on his plate just now without that.

sodapop Tue 03-Oct-23 12:12:01

The wedding was lovely, so touching. Can't help worrying about that photo though.

maddyone Tue 03-Oct-23 11:38:41

I like Deedee. I think her acting is fine.
