My late father-in-law would never accept being told that they were men dressed as ladies.

He couldn't see the funny side at all.

I'm sorry to hear that news.

There was a thread on here fairly recently about Hinge and Brackett and the Dear Ladies.
It's many years since Patrick Fyffe died.

Their gentle comedy was unique.

... has just died aged 78. He ran a B&B in France in later years with his other half. The Dear Ladies were great fun.
