Did anyone else watch it?
I thought the actor playing him was brilliant.
Can’t believe it was as long ago as 2006 - and there’s Putin, still bent on his murderous career.

I watched it a while ago and I agree David Tennant as Litvinenko was brilliant. Scary stuff!

Kate1949 Mon 19-Jun-23 22:43:12

We watched it a while ago too. David Tennant was brilliant as usual.

merlotgran Mon 19-Jun-23 23:21:28

Yes I watched it. David Tennant is such a brilliant actor.

Doesn’t feel like seventeen years ago though.

Callistemon21 Mon 19-Jun-23 23:26:19

I hadn't read any synopsis of it and didnt realise that was David Tennant until DH remarked how good he was!

BigBertha1 Tue 20-Jun-23 06:36:55

I started to watch it last night but fell asleep. I will continue though. DR is always watchable. Loving Staged too.

Yes, I loved it too, DT was excellent . I think it's on again tonight ?

Callistemon21 Wed 21-Jun-23 21:17:02

Mark Bonnar - I just didn't recognise him either.

Some excellent acting in this mini-series.

I hadn't read any synopsis of it and didnt realise that was David Tennant until DH remarked how good he was!

That same scene played out here as well, Callistemon.

DH wasn’t surprised, as when the credits rolled for Elvis, the film, I said “Oh, look, Tom Hanks was in it”. Yes, as Colonel Tom Parker. He was on screen as much as Elvis. blush

Callistemon21 Wed 21-Jun-23 22:18:26

Yes, I was slow on the uptake on that one too.

Same with David Cassidy in Blood Brothers! I whispered to my friend "I thought David Cassidy was going to be in this". She said "That's him, the little boy on the stage!".

Maggiemaybe Thu 22-Jun-23 11:37:14

I’ve never seen Blood Brothers. I’ll make sure I do now, just so that I can recognise David Cassidy first. grin

Callistemon21 Thu 22-Jun-23 12:33:20

Oh, it was many years ago in a theatre production! And David's leaping days are over ☹

Maggiemaybe Thu 22-Jun-23 13:00:48

Oh shucks! Yet another chance to shine that’s passed me by.

Actually, I have seen Blood Brothers on stage, twice (no David Cassidy though, as far as I recall, though I could easily have missed him). I was having a senior moment there and thinking of The Blues Brothers. blush

Esmay Thu 22-Jun-23 14:23:43

I thought that it was brilliant .

Later on , I watched David T play the father of a severely autistic girl .
He's a brilliant and versatile actor .

Georgesgran Thu 22-Jun-23 14:31:35

I thought DT was brilliant as Dennis Nilsen - very sinister.

Kate1949 Thu 22-Jun-23 18:01:10

We watched that too Esmay. We watched the first series too There She Goes. Brilliant. We are also watching David Tennant in the new series of Staged. He's everywhere at the moment but I'm not complaining.

Deedaa Thu 22-Jun-23 23:52:46

Georgesgran David Tennant was frighteningly good as Nielsen wasn't he? I remember watching a documentary about Nielsen and being amazed by the likeness.

Esmay Fri 23-Jun-23 08:43:13

Kate1949 - David Tennant's performance in There
She Goes made me cry .

I forgot about his portrayal of Dennis Nielsen - it was spine chilling .
He's an incredibly talented actor .

Kate1949 Fri 23-Jun-23 09:57:26

I agree Esmay
