Right old families muddle up but not badly acted I think it’s quite well done well after that awful Blind spot it is

Aaargh wrong thread!
I wanted the one about the heatwave not Heat! 😃 😀

Joseann Sun 16-Jul-23 08:09:05

I'm guessing that's it for our summer if we're on the wrong side of the jet stream band.

Shinamae Sun 16-Jul-23 00:22:46

After a slow start, I think it was really very good lots of twists and turns..

Catterygirl Sun 16-Jul-23 00:19:48

Just finished watching it. Only because nothing else to watch really but it wasn’t bad.

BlueBelle Sat 15-Jul-23 21:46:11

sparklefizz No I m not paying to watch anything I wonder why you get that message?

BlueBelle Sat 15-Jul-23 21:44:42

Really best not to read a thread about a drama if you ve not watched it yet Daffydilly 😀

It made a change from the eternal cop series, although we had to have the obligatory murder and attempted rape, so that Steve could become the hero at the end. Did the right people die? Brad deserved it, although if he had lived there would be scope for an edgy sequel. Should Steve's wife have been killed off, she was misguided yes, but did she really deserve it?

Thanks for the spoilers.

Thanks Jaxjacky

Jaxjacky Sat 15-Jul-23 20:03:08

No Sparlkefizz definitely not.

ruthie2 Sat 15-Jul-23 19:33:26

Gave up after the first episode. Nothing to commend it.

Sparklefizz Sat 15-Jul-23 19:10:53

Is anyone having to pay to access My5? I am getting a QR code and being asked to register and give my credit card.

grandma1949 Sat 15-Jul-23 17:50:26

I can't stand Danny Dyer's character or East Ender's, so I'll never watch anything with him.

BlueBelle Sat 15-Jul-23 17:17:05

Sorry Josanne blooming predictive text

BlueBelle Sat 15-Jul-23 17:13:49

Yes Roseanne the boyfriend was a ‘bit of all right’ and seemed a solid caring lad

MadeInYorkshire Sat 15-Jul-23 16:55:53

Not seen that one but will have a look - I agree with you about Blind Spot, the plot was pretty good, but I thought the acting was just awful!

Joseann Sat 15-Jul-23 16:50:48

I'm with Bluebelle, I dont mind DD as I'm an East End girl and DD lives in the town I left recently, (SiL sees him at the gym). His acting was better than I thought it might be, at least there were occasional scenes where he showed some thinking behind his eyes, like how to resolve things for his family. In Eastenders he is prone to just shouting and overdoing the accent.
The other husband wasn't my type, the boyfriend might have been in my youth.

BlueBelle Sat 15-Jul-23 16:37:53

Haha I enjoyed it for what it was, maybe because I m not an eastenders fan so never really seen DD before he’s not a looker that’s for sure nor a great actor, but not the worst I ve seen the other husband was much better to look at but what a bxxxxx The daughter was really pretty
It certainly wasn’t brainteasing but passed a couple of hours away, definitely seen worse

homefarm Sat 15-Jul-23 16:15:20

Watched part of first episode - utter rubbish

pinkjj27 Sat 15-Jul-23 14:19:11

I shouldn’t say this as it’s not nice but I don’t like Danny Dyer. I think he is very much a wooden top actor. He has some very odd ( not nice) opinions and he is rather opinionated and self-absorbed, so I avoid.

grannyro Sat 15-Jul-23 13:59:46

Danny Dyer must be the worst actor ever! I did watch the whole lot but it was pretty unbelievable and I had no empathy with any of them.

Oreo Sat 15-Jul-23 13:26:45

wifey2003

Wooden acting , utter drivel , did give it 30 mins of viewing but no would not recommend it ....

😂
I gave it one and a half episodes.Yeah, drivel is right and Dyer a poor actor at the best of times. What was with all the soppy music as well?

HannahLoisLuke Sat 15-Jul-23 13:23:27

Can’t bear Danny Dyer so no.

Dixieblue Sat 15-Jul-23 13:23:19

Yes, Danny Dyer can only play himself. What used to make me cringe was when he was in Eastenders and used to make up his own Cockney rhyming slang.
Agree he can’t act either.
