How incredible are these surgeons I didn't watch the end as I found it too gruesome tbh did the chap survive ?

Not forgetting anaesthetists, who are doctors who have to complete many years post grad training and pass exams.
My husband is a retired one, he was highly skilled in facial maxillary and high risk obstetric anaesthesia. He retired at 60, just before the pandemic.
Anaethetists tend to be humbler than surgeons, and don't like the 'limelight'

The surgery to remove and reconstruct the man’s lower jaw and tongue because of an aggressive tumour was utterly brilliant. Hours and hours of painstaking skill and compassion was a privilege to watch and the result was almost unbelievable especially when the patient’s speech was better than expected and would improve even more with time.

I saw it. It was horrific yet compulsive to watch. What absolutely amazing skill and dedication those people have.
