All dogs should be supervised with very small children no matter their size and sometimes small children are not taught what is acceptable treatment of another living thing.
My daughter has two pets a Rottie and a cat her daughter has always been taught how to interact with them and like me she knows which one is more likely to bite if the mood takes him (it’s not the big dog)

I've found the worst dogs for biting are the small ones. I've been bitten by cute fluffy ones a couple of times. My MIL had one that used to attack the back of everyone's ankles, and it was no bigger than a bag of sugar 😏

I was watching the programme A & E last week, it was an old one, but this young lad about 10 had been bitten right through his bottom lip, it was split, the dog has also cut his neck and quite bad marks on his arm.

His mum said it was a Staffie that was known to the family and therefore had no concerns prior.

I haven't watched it but there seems to be a lot of dangerous dogs around these days - and a lot are owned by families with small children. So worrying 😔
