I was quite looking forward to this second series, but it was all a bit grim and depressing - the horrible DV story, and the pervert detailing his fantasies.

It seems that pretty much everything is grim and depressing these days. It's the way they make them now. In the last year there have been numerous TV series I've started and given up after 30 mins. Everything involves gruesome serial killers or gothic darkness.

yes, turned over after the sexual pervert bits.....why don't they bring back 'The Bill' type of show. I always enjoyed that.

I missed the first series but I quite enjoyed last night's and I will certainly be watching tonight's. It took me until the first ad break to work out who was who. I do have an "off" switch if I do not enjoy it tonight.

You should try Blue Heelers on Freevee which is an Aussie Police series from the 1990s. It's great and there are lots of episodes so it will last ages. I'm absolutely loving it.

I've just rewatched Series 1 and am on episode 3 of Series 2. I really like it but I don't think it will encourage recruitment to the police.

I have enjoyed this series but the black policewoman gets on my nerves. Always thinking she knows best and causing more agro when it goes wrong!!!
