gaynor faye, larry lamb.... there are 4 episodes.

So they must have had a relationship many years before the 14 year affair, enjoyed it but felt last episode was rushed. Somehow I’m not keen on Gaynor don’t know why.

I had forgotten all about it on Monday night, so I watched it last night.
It was really really dire.
And if these are the scripts that are passed, what are the ones like that are rejected?

Dottydots Wed 27-Sept-23 18:31:34

The end of the last episode was rather rushed and went right over my head. Good job my son could explain the ending to me next day.

StacyAnna Wed 27-Sept-23 18:14:26

So James (who later called himself Nathan), was Susan and Michael’s son? Why did they have him adopted? Was he really an estate agent, or just pretending, so he could get close to the family?
Why did the 3 siblings not realise their father was having another relationship for 14 years?
Why did I waste 4 hours of my life?!

It was ridiculous and silly ending. I couldn't concentrate properly as the woman with the puffy lips was hard to understand.

Glen at least deserved a thank you. He rescued them. Bonkers.

Who is 'the woman with the puffy lips'?

I think it's unfair of anyone to blame the actors for anything. They are given the script and directions, and have to do their best with a weak storyline. I applaud the actors and send my sympathy that they cannot find better scripts.

If anyone is to blame it's Channel Five for not finding better writers, the writers themselves, the directors, and the sound technicians who seem unable to capture the sound of a human voice correctly.

I thought my brain was going and put it down to having to wait for weekly episodes/. I too wondered what there was left to inherit. The trouble was that dh appeared to understand it all and kept coming out with ‘it’s James’. Who the hell was James?

the estate agent Nathan !!

Complete and utter Tosh, why do we bother to watch this shite?

You don’t. I’m assuming you have at least one streaming app?
Prime, Netflix. There’s a humongous amount of brilliant stuff to watch.

Also Walter Presents has really great International film series

Was going to watch final tonight...don't thinkI'll bother!!

I'd give it a miss.. it was completely ridiculous

MrsThatcher Wed 27-Sept-23 13:57:21

The worst drama I’ve ever seen. What a waste of time. Acting diabolical, story silly and unbelievable. Total shite!

Auntieflo Wed 27-Sept-23 09:11:26

Glad I'm not the only one who thought it rubbish.
Come on Ch5, you can do better.

I was disappointed too after concentrating so hard to try and follow it.

merlotgran Tue 26-Sept-23 15:22:50

The ending was too rushed. One minute the coroner is calling a halt on the whole thing and then, as if by magic, the detective has solved the whole thing when we didn’t even know what the whole thing was.

It made me remember that whenever I got fed up or frustrated with something DH would laugh and say, ‘Just set fire to it!’ 🤣🤣

Sparklefizz Tue 26-Sept-23 10:58:07

I missed everything that Glen said and tried to turn on sub titles but couldn't get them on.

Ridiculous storyline, rubbish ending, Gaynor Faye can't act and smiles showing all her teeth at the wrong times which is weird.

That's 4 hours I won't get back!

Abitbarmy Tue 26-Sept-23 10:18:59

There was so much I didn’t understand, it didn’t make sense. What absolute tosh. Still don’t know who was going to inherit what was left. It was one of those that you stick with to the end hoping it’ll get better and all will be explained. It didn’t and wasn’t!

eddiecat78 Tue 26-Sept-23 09:15:34

Very very silly.
Was it my hearing or was there a lot of mumbling? I missed a lot of what Nathan and Glen said

Primrose53 Tue 26-Sept-23 09:10:02

Afraid I fell asleep halfway through and woke up as Glen was rescuing them. Then his ex said “this won’t change anything between us.”

What’s this about the adopted son?

Can anybody fill in the blanks please.

I was still bothered by the woman with fake lips too.

HowVeryDareYou2 Tue 26-Sept-23 08:48:07

I thought this was going to be good, as it had a few well-known people in it. The ending was really silly.

Parsley3 Tue 26-Sept-23 08:45:06

It was a daft and disappointing ending.

Clawdy Tue 26-Sept-23 08:38:33

Too many things not explained. Why on earth did Susan and Michael have their son adopted? And why did James think he'd inherit by killing his mother?
Didn't like Sian telling Alex "This changes nothing " when he had just saved three lives, including hers!

biglouis Tue 26-Sept-23 00:16:13

The "voice over" is for people with impaired vision and occasionally I hit it on the remote.
