I was thinking of watching Foundation but read it wasn't very faithful to Asimov's books. I read all of the Foundation and Robot series books 40+ years ago and loved them back then. Were you disappointed with the screen treatment biglouis ? My son and I both read and watched The Expanse but he read the books first and I watched the series first which affected both of our opinions (in favor of whatever we experienced first smile ).

I did notice Apple TV had some tempting looking originals to explore.

Season one of Foundation is a bit hard to get into and I found it improved on a second watch. Season two is much better regards pacing and character development. The series suffers from the fact that it spans a thousand years so you need to think BIG. The robot called Demoiselle (made female for this series) is actually the same one who accompanied the detective in the Caves of Steel book series. She is definitely the power behind the throne.

I watched season one of Foundation but didn’t particularly enjoy it, although I’ve always been an Asimov fan. Haven’t watched any of SILO as of yet. Also didn’t enjoy season one of Invasion. Found both Foundation and Invasion to be very slow, indeed boring at times, and the acting less than riveting.
Have you watched any of For All Mankind? That was a “slow grower” on me, was very glad I persevered.
Overall, I think many of the Apple TV+ originals are excellent. Some of my favourites are Severance, See, Black Bird, Slow Horses, Bad Sisters, Tehran and the truly wonderful Ted Lasso.

Anyone watching this? Based loosely on Asimov's classic Foundation and Empire series . Ive been binge watching the entire series.

Also a stunning post apolyptic SF series called SILO. Wonderful settings.
