I think Davina McCall is lovely and love her presenting style.

I'm just like you Shysal and love these type of programmes. I'm really enjoying it. I love 'people watching' so it's just 'up my street'. I'm also looking forward to MAFS starting.

I tried to watch but gave up. Just not my thing. It's like Love Island for older folk

Totally agree, Kate1949. It world be great to see people who weren't so perfect!

He is a nice looking postman though smile

I haven't watched it as I cannot stand Davina McCall.

Poppyred Thu 14-Sept-23 16:22:26

One of the women is very botoxed! The others are very attractive and seem vulnerable. I like all the men…. 🥱😂

DanniRae Thu 14-Sept-23 15:34:53

Yes I am watching it .... and enjoying it. I love programmes like this. All the women on it are really glamorous, aren't they? And yes I think Roger is really good looking but not ready to move on yet, I think.

Calendargirl

Haven’t watched this.

Is Davina McCall as irritating as she is on LLF?

So far Davina has not been on screen much. I don't mind her on LLF, although prefer Nicky.

It would be nice to have a programme like this where everyone wasn't so perfect looking but I suppose no one would want to watch that.

shysal Thu 14-Sept-23 12:02:28

I am also enjoying the songs being played in the background, which I would normally find irritating. They are all from the era when my daughters, now in their 50s, were teenagers. I find I know all the words! 'Together in Electric Dreams' was going through my head all night after the first episode. 🐛

Good looking postman!

Primrose53 Thu 14-Sept-23 10:55:38

Watched the first one, recorded others.

I don’t think Roger is ready to date either. He is like Paul Hollywood’s much more handsome brother!! It shouldn’t make a difference but I guess some of these women with high flying jobs may be put off as he is a postman.

shysal Thu 14-Sept-23 10:19:34

Anyone else watching this? I think the characters are all likeable, and I hear that Roger is a hit with many of the viewers (including me), although I don't think he was ready for a new partner. So far it has been sensitively handled.
I am not ashamed to admit to enjoying this type of show, looking forward to MAFS next week.
