Boiling Point so far? ……

The pilot film was filmed continuously with no breaks, so the camera was following people in real time. I think they are continuing in the same vein.
I might try the second episode on iPlayer to see if anything actually happens.

I saw a short clip on Graham Norton and thought it looked dire. I'm not keen on cooking so I can't imagine anything worse than being a spectator in a busy kitchen. Not for me.

I switched over after 10
Minutes. it was hard to hear what they were saying and the camera swinging around so much made me feel a tad queasy.

We had a pub and restaurant for eight years back in the nineties so I know a fair bit about what goes on in a busy kitchen and I doubt a brigade that small would have coped with the number of covers even if they’d all had their heads down and actually worked! Mucking about, banter and general lack of concentration just wouldn’t have been allowed although I thank my lucky stars there were no mobile phones back in the day.

Boiling Point was boring and I had to rely on subtitles to know what was going on but then every workplace is boring if you’re just a spectator . I was going to say fly on the wall but hopefully they’d have a zapper!

Thank goodness it was not only me. I switched off after 20 minutes. I had subtitles on but they were speaking so quickly and mumbling.

I’m going to go against the grain here. I really enjoyed it, and am already looking forward to episode 2. I hadn’t even heard that there was a pilot film, so can’t compare it to that.

Dire...seen all this time and time again with Gordon Ramsay...went to bed early.

It was awful!! I'm a big fan of Stephen Graham and enjoyed the pilot film but I just couldn't keep up as I couldn't make out what they were saying. I really thought it was my hearing as I have a cold but when news came on my hearing miraculously came back!!

The pilot film was good....I think they should've left it there.
