We started watching this series last night and so far it is very good. I was wondering if anyone else had watched it and what they thought.

It is based on a book by C J Tudor.

Brief synopsis:

Reverend Jack Brooks and her daughter arrive in Chapel Croft, a place for a fresh start that soon reveals its community's dark history and where ancient superstitions and mistrust of outsiders are quite common

Samantha Morton plays Rev Jack Brooks - yes, she is a woman. It is set in Sussex.

There are six one hour episodes.

O I noticed this last night and thought it looked good. Will try it .

I looked at that yesterday, and didn't watch it as it was billed as horror. There is a lot of that as Hallowe'en is coming, but I am a scaredy cat grin. Is it gruesome? If not, I liked the look of it, so might watch it. I am about at the level of a 15 certificate where supernatural horror is concerned, although I am fine with murder and thrillers.

There is quite a bit of blood during the murder scenes.

The plot is very twisty and turny. It kept me guessing to the end.

Blood I can cope with. Ghosts and suchlike, less so. If it's a straightforward murder story I'd watch it, but if it is supernatural then no thanks.

What channel is it on? I seem to struggle to watch catchup on any channel other than BBC

I was wondering what channel too I hadn’t seen it advertised?
My BBC has been awful lately lots of buffering presume it’s the weather

I saw it advertised on a channel I was watching tonight but can’t remember which one it was. If it was Sky then I can’t access that anyway.

Its on Paramount + (plus). Its in the post titlegrin

There is a supernatural aspect with the burning girls but they mainly just stand there on fire - I hope that isn't a spoiler but you see them within a few minutes of the first episode.

Samantha Morton plays the lead character
