Time Series 2

Some years ago a friend of mine got sent to Holloway. She was only there for a week so I didn’t have time to visit.
She was then sent to an open prison where I did visit.
While there she leant how to not get caught at what she was doing.
She did say that if she had done her whole time in Holloway she would never have chanced going back there.

I’ve just watched Bella in The Last of Us. She really is a huge talent.

I watched all three episodes last night, I found it very moving, brought me to tears more than once. I thought the acting overall was very good, I especially enjoyed Bella Ramsey’s performance (possibly best known for playing the young Lady Mormont in Game of Thrones). I think she has a great future if she stays in the acting business.
I agree it would have benefitted from having more episodes, it did feel like a bit of a rush job in the third episode. I’ve never, to my knowledge, known any women who have been in prison but did know one man (a friend of my daughter). She went to visit him once and was horrified by the whole atmosphere, never went again.

Just finished watching it. The acting was superb and I found it really moving. Especially as there has been so much talk recently about the state of our prisons.

This one wasn’t quite as brutal as the last one - possibly because it was set in a women’s prison and they were dealing with ’female’ crime and the repercussions on families.

I agree with BlueBelle and I will definitely watch again next weekend. I did not watch the first series and last night's episode certainly did not portray a holiday camp.

The staff were surprisingly caring.

It was believable, I agree. I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it all, but one story in particular was heartbreaking in its futility.

I watched and enjoyed it I thought it was pretty well acted and totally believable as to how some prisons are ( having watched documentaries) compared to some of the recent dramas it looked promising

I think it’s a bit too issues-led, really. It needs more than three episodes to get into the nuances of the storylines.

The storylines focussed on areas such as the pointlessness of prison, and the devastation it can wreak, rehabilitation and personal tragedy - none of them showed the prison system in a good light, despite the caring staff.

I couldn't work out how the same prison officers always turned up immediately. Do they never go home?

I watched , although the subject matter is grim, it was told well, had to watch through my fingers once or twice. Will watch the rest to see what happens to the characters.

I watched and it was ok if a little predictable, I’ll watch it weekly.

I watched the first half hour, but felt myself nodding off, so went to bed.

Found it rather depressing, don’t know if I will catch up or not.

Hasn’t got the lovely Sean in it to hold my attention!

No, it's not a typical Sunday offering. It's all on iPlayer though, so you could watch it when you feel up to it.

I'd be interested to hear what people think of it.

I plan to watch it, but it looks a bit depressing.
