The sofa in Ken's looks about as comfy as a bed of nails !!!!!! 😮
Horrendous

Cillafan Thu 29-Feb-24 20:27:09

We have seen Ken's front parlour room on occasion, there is a photo of uncle Albert on the mantle piece

I think Adam has just put his finger in an electric socket

Never seen a mess like his hair. 🤣

Doodledog Thu 29-Feb-24 20:10:35

I've just put it on, so am ten minutes behind 🙄. with luck, I'll catch up by missing the adverts.

Yes, I haven’t given up on Corrie, but ITV appears to have given up on its loyal viewers 😡

Beechnut Wed 28-Feb-24 20:35:31

The bullying story would probably be over by Easter if only they would show Corrie instead of football.

lemsip Wed 28-Feb-24 20:04:13

have we given up on corrie?

Doodledog Fri 23-Feb-24 15:20:32

Oh no, not again😡.

Charleygirl5 Fri 23-Feb-24 15:18:12

Even "womens"

Charleygirl5 Fri 23-Feb-24 15:07:46

I agree but it is now over.

I was horrified to hear that the bullying story was going on until the end of the year. Far too long in my opinion.

Naturally woman's football takes precedence over "our" programme.

Calendargirl Fri 23-Feb-24 14:39:25

I still don’t think Lauren would fancy Bobby.

CoolCoco Fri 23-Feb-24 13:58:24

I think the Tracy/ Tommy affair is quite amusing .

BlueBelle Fri 23-Feb-24 13:15:33

I totally agree sodapop I rather like him now he’s played a lovely part with Lauren and comes across as very real

sodapop Fri 23-Feb-24 13:06:58

I have to say I am warming to Bobby more now. He has stopped trying to be a comedian and become an actor. A great improvement.

Doodledog Fri 23-Feb-24 10:02:47

Yes, it's not very professional of her. It's happened before with older characters - Norris and Percy both said they were leaving as the show had got too modern for them. I agree with you that it has to move with the times if it is to survive. I just wish they would have more stories going on at once like they used to.

Did anyone see the report that soaps could be written by AI within 5 years? I saw the headline but didn't read the article. It's an interesting thought.

BlueBelle Fri 23-Feb-24 07:58:33

Surely not Damon I thought it would be one of the men in her dads racist group
Funny Maureen Lipman is speaking out against her own show
I think it’s needs characters like her but I don’t want it to go back to the old fashioned version that’s was fine in its day but the worlds a different place now and it has to keep up

Doodledog Fri 23-Feb-24 07:40:19

I don’t think. It will be Damon. Nathan is possible, but would he return to Wetherfield? I assume he’s been in jail? You’d think he’d lie low if he’s been released.
I think it will be someone we ‘know’ though.

Calendargirl Fri 23-Feb-24 07:33:30

Well, I hope it’s not Damon.

Have seen speculation it’s that chap who groomed Bethany when she was younger whilst being her boyfriend. (Nathan?)

fancythat Thu 22-Feb-24 22:00:55

Kandinsky

Lauren’s ‘client’ is clearly a Street character.
Dee Dees dodgy boyfriend maybe?

I wondered about Darren, is he called?
Sarah's boyfriend?

Doodledog Thu 22-Feb-24 19:18:14

Which storylines does she want to see ditched?

lemsip Thu 22-Feb-24 18:49:12

Corrie's Maureen Lipman slams ITV soap and insists current storylines must be ditched
she says it needs to return to it's rootsLipman is really happy that her character Evelyn in Coronation Street reminds people of the strong women from the show's past. She also loves that she's keeping up the work of her late husband Jack Rosenthal, who was one of the first to write for the ITV soap.

Doodledog Wed 21-Feb-24 22:27:16

I doubt that how dirty her windows were was on her mind at the time grin.

Dylan's resolve didn't last long, did it?

lemsip Wed 21-Feb-24 22:24:10

well tracy should have made sure the window cleaner wasn't coming before she went upstairs with the painter!.

poor dee dee... he has a wife and child. separated though.
