Who is Lauren’s ex?

Hope it’s not Damon.

BlueBelle Wed 14-Feb-24 22:02:33

Never called chazzers here must be a regional name

BlueBelle Wed 14-Feb-24 22:01:29

I don’t think she will mess him about I think she’s genuinely liking him but somethings sure to go wrong

Primrose53 Wed 14-Feb-24 21:53:49

I hope that girl doesn’t mess Bobby about but I suspect she will.

Doodledog Wed 14-Feb-24 21:25:44

Oops - the first line was in answer to the 'chazza' shop thing - it's used here, too.

Doodledog Wed 14-Feb-24 21:25:04

Yes, here too, which is why I found it funny grin.

I really, really hope that the Liam storyline ends with proper justice being done. It has to give hope to other children going through that, and show that it ends badly for the bullies, even though that's not necessarily true. My heart went out to him tonight, the poor lad. Nobody should have to go through that.

Calendargirl Wed 14-Feb-24 21:00:37

Oh, poor, poor Liam.

Why don’t they move schools or say they will home school him?

Not a real solution, but better than this.

Serendipity22 Wed 14-Feb-24 18:54:29

Snap..... I always say chazza..

Can't beat a good old rummage.

Yes, the 'Mrs P' and 'chazza shop' lines were funny.

The writing has been better in the last couple of episodes, which is good. I'm pleased there has been something to lighten the more distressing storylines.

We’ve said chazzas for years over here. 😉

I am really enjoying the blossoming romance between Bobby and Lauren, makes for light relief. Also enjoy Bobby's interactions with Evelyn.

BlueBelle Wed 14-Feb-24 16:44:32

Lauren would never fancy Bobby in a million years
Are you still sure coolcoco ???

Doodledog Wed 14-Feb-24 16:39:37

Yes, he did. It crossed my mind in the way these things do that his mum must be Bernie Winter, which amused me for half a second. Based on that fascinating fact I can confirm that we heard the same thing though smile)

Beechnut Wed 14-Feb-24 16:12:16

Did I hear right last night that the old ‘friend’ chap in the bistro call Paul, Paul Winter ?

Primrose53 Wed 14-Feb-24 09:02:11

I thought the lad who played Liam played it very well. I just hope it stops soon as it is very uncomfortable to watch.

I remember George saying he was bullied at school so I am hoping he will catch those horrible boys in the act and put an end to this.

BlueBelle Wed 14-Feb-24 07:26:31

However sad it is, its real life and hundreds of kids are going through this so I think Corrie is doing a good job to bring it to the fore in a very realistic way

Calendargirl Wed 14-Feb-24 07:23:11

I’ve thought up to now Mason’s acting has been like a caricature of a bully boy, but this episode seemed very real. Mocking him about his ‘dolly’, with his mates smirking away, so cruel but so accurate, sadly.

That was all too much. I am hoping that George has Mason's number and will be able to do something to help poor Liam.

Yes, George seems to have his eye on things. I hope he saves the day soon.

It was an upsetting episode all round, really.

Serendipity22 Tue 13-Feb-24 21:10:07

Whoaaaa Corrie tonight 😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪 (( Billy and Paul))

Those bullies with poor Liam. 😔

Calendargirl Tue 13-Feb-24 21:00:35

And Billy was wrong telling Summer she shouldn’t go on the USA study course.

Not up to him what she decides to do.

Calendargirl Tue 13-Feb-24 20:45:28

Oh, poor Liam!

Those horrible boys!

Why on earth doesn’t he tell Maria and Gary what’s going on?

Primrose53 Tue 13-Feb-24 20:01:32

Here is “Simon” with his parents. I wonder why they chose a mixed race child to play “Simon” when his TV Mum Lucy was very pale skinned and blonde and Peter was white although slightly darker skinned.

Whatever his heritage, he's a funny looking chap, and more importantly he's not a great actor. I wish him luck in whatever he goes on to do - it must be difficult going into 'real life' after being in regular well-paid work for so long. It often doesn't work out for young actors who try to make it after leaving soaps, and many of them struggle.
