Never mind Peter duffing up Dylan, (not that he did, and the little monkey deserved it anyhow), but I wouldn’t want to be in anyone’s shoes who Gary crosses when he finds out that Liam is the target of all this nastiness.

Don’t forget he has put bodies in the ground before now,

💀

maddyone Sat 25-Nov-23 00:16:25

Dylan is 15 and he actually looks about that to me. I really think Shaun needs to get a grip on Dylan. Dylan is running rings round him. I’d be in at the school re the regular truanting for a start, and working together with them to ensure that Dylan was attending properly.

I hope there isn’t going to be an attempted suicide by Liam. He only looks about 12 and that’s far too young for a child actor to play such a part in my opinion.

Beechnut Fri 24-Nov-23 22:19:42

Did I hear Eileen say he was 15?

Calendargirl Fri 24-Nov-23 21:00:27

What age is Dylan supposed to be? I doubt if he is old enough to be employed as a washer-up, let alone slicing meat and working on his own in a kebab shop.

He is an accomplished liar. Sean doesn’t seem bothered that he skips school.

“We all did it”.

No we didn’t.

Doodledog Thu 23-Nov-23 15:14:37

Yes, that occurred to me, too. I hope not.

Doesn't Liam look like Maria? He could be her son in real life.

suep1953 Thu 23-Nov-23 14:56:34

I feel Liam's story is going to get much darker, possibly a suicide attempt.

Doodledog Thu 23-Nov-23 11:50:16

Yes, Gary can be quite scary. I hope the little boy (Jake?) tells Gary what happened (is it on the video?) and he sorts it out with Mason in a traditional manner. I don't care if he has a horrible family - there is no excuse for that.

Clawdy Thu 23-Nov-23 11:44:31

Maybe we'll find out Mason is from a horrible family and start feeling sorry for him! I did think he'd be a bit more uneasy about the bullying after Gary threatened him.

Calendargirl Thu 23-Nov-23 11:17:03

Oh, I rather like Ronnie. Didn’t care for him when he first appeared, but he’s grown on me.

Does Gary Windass have another source of income besides his second hand furniture business? He always seems to have a wad of cash in his back pocket.

Must pay well, buying in old wardrobes and tables and chairs!

Aveline Thu 23-Nov-23 11:10:49

Hmmm. Not keen on him somehow. Not sure what he actually is. Some sort of business man? Never been very clear.

LauraNorderr Thu 23-Nov-23 10:31:26

Yes Debbie would be good. Would you like to see her boyfriend Ronnie alongside her?

Aveline Thu 23-Nov-23 10:28:59

I'd like to see Debbie as the Rovers landlady (if she could see over the counter!). I know she's got Chariot Square - the only hotel in Weatherfield - to run but she's a bundle of energy. Jenny couldn't make it pay before. How could she manage again?

LauraNorderr Thu 23-Nov-23 10:23:48

Alderley Edge!

LauraNorderr Thu 23-Nov-23 10:22:53

No it was not an adequate search by any means.
Ed’s gambling story. Me too CoolCoco. Too much to expect for someone to get lucky and get rich, I suppose they’d then have to move away back to Alderney Efge, so of course he has to lose it all. It’s so frustrating, I get annoyed every time the stupid man calls a taxi to the casino.

CoolCoco Thu 23-Nov-23 10:15:31

It wasn’t a very thorough search though was it? Didn’t check his pockets or legs. Fed up with the Ed gambling storyline already.

LauraNorderr Thu 23-Nov-23 09:55:55

The bullying and humiliation dished out by Mason and his followers is uncomfortable to watch but I agree that it is sadly a real life issue. We do need to be aware for the sake of our youngsters.
Like the rape story it can’t just be raised, dealt with and then disappear, there are long term consequences for the victims.
I’d like to join the ‘get rid of Cassie’ campaign. Never a fan of Claire Sweeney nor of her face which seems to act independently, the sneering lip curl even when she’s saying something pleasant.
I’d like to see Jenny back in the Rovers. I’ve said it before but I quite like the idea of Tim and Sally taking over, sort of Hyacinth Bouquet with Jack Duckworth, lots of comedy potential there.
I see Craigy is back in uniform, stop and search of Mason.
I hope no one wields the knife while Aggie is away. Who will nurse the victim.

maddyone Thu 23-Nov-23 09:28:27

And these nasty pieces of work are the children teachers are having to deal with every day!

sodapop Thu 23-Nov-23 09:16:30

It is uncomfortable viewing but just highlights what is happening to a lot of children and young people.

maddyone Thu 23-Nov-23 09:13:53

I agree with you BlueBelle and Doodledog.
I just find it very uncomfortable viewing, watching children being humiliated and manipulated by a really horrible person.

Doodledog Thu 23-Nov-23 08:44:57

I agree with that sentiment, BlueBelle, and applaud the well-researched stories such as those about rape, MND, addiction and so on. If they are balanced with lighter ones, they are valuable.

I think that Mason is being well-acted, and yes, he's convincing, and I'm not saying the story shouldn't be shown. I just find it very uncomfortable to see children humiliated.

BlueBelle Thu 23-Nov-23 05:33:55

I think Mason is playing a very good and realistic part and it’s not for people to like but to show what’s really happening for some of our kids in the world

It can t be light all the time they have always tried to take on serious subjects to make them more identifiable to the masses

Doodledog Wed 22-Nov-23 23:51:21

Yes, I didn’t enjoy tonight’s episode.

maddyone Wed 22-Nov-23 23:39:11

I also hope Mason gets his comeuppance soon too. I really dislike seeing children bullied like that and it’s not just Liam being bullied, Dylan is also being bullied by Mason.

BlueBelle Wed 22-Nov-23 23:23:44

I don’t think there was anything that would upset the 9 pm deadline in that scene Primrose
Amy was raped before 9.00 we have just had a rape in Emmerdale and Billy and Paul can’t keep their hands of each other don’t even mention Dev and Bernie creeping down the stairs with lots of innuendos even Jenny and her various men
trotting around above the Rovers in and out of bedrooms Ryan sticking needles in his body and talking about showing his bits off on his socials, all before 9.00 pm
I wouldn’t worry about Nina and Asha

Primrose53 Wed 22-Nov-23 22:11:57

I am surprised they allow all the kissing scenes between Asha and Nina and Asha saying “let’s just go upstairs and have sex.” That was about 8.30 and kids are still around.
