Come on then Calendargirl give us some ideas for potential Corrie storylines.
When is Fizz coming back, where is Abbie's baby, where is Aggie? and so it goes on

But the whole Amy story has been done to death. Let’s hope this is the beginning of the end of it.

Very convenient that it was DI Blondie who was called out to the hospital. She has taken over from Craigy as the ubiquitous police officer.

And the twin onesie wearing by Steve and Tracy became a bit trite.

Wish Amy would just tell them how she feels.

And no, we don’t need another thieving, bullying, nasty story line involving the youngsters.

As for ghastly Cassie sticking her nose in with Hope, the caring granny who has only been in their lives a couple of months…,

Summerfly Fri 17-Nov-23 23:15:02

Yes Clawdy I agree. Amy’s acting skills have improved with age, and who couldn’t love Aadi.

Clawdy Fri 17-Nov-23 22:20:30

Some good acting from Amy and Aadi tonight. Quite powerful scenes.

Amy’s storyline seems to have taken a strange turn. What was going on with her solo arrival at the night club and the bouncer commenting on how she’s a regular visitor? Why is she there without Summer or any other friends? It made me think following on from her earlier erratic behaviour in the street if she’s embarking on some kind of man hating mission. Is deliberately going to have an encounter with a boy in the night club and accost them? Or have I just got a vivid imagination??

Are Audrey's shakes because of alcohol, or is she suffering from something like Parkinsons?

She's always been a bit of a boozer, and alcoholism in older people is an issue. She also has episodes of forgetfulness that could be connected, so it's possible. Whatever 'it' is has been going on for years, so I wish they'd get on with the story.

I agree that the march was ridiculous. Amy's actions were way out of character, and I'm not sure what to make of the police officer who interviewed her. Is this the beginning of a new storyline? Are they going to try to bring down Aaron?

Grannynannywanny Thu 16-Nov-23 10:58:50

That might be a good storyline Calendargirl if her scissors slipped at an opportune moment and relieved us of an annoying character. It’s a few weeks since they’ve had a murder 😆

Calendargirl Thu 16-Nov-23 10:52:05

to an 80 odd year old hairdresser full of energy

But unfortunately with the shakes when she wields a pair of scissors or clippers!

The Sweeny Todd of Coronation Street!

Grannynannywanny Thu 16-Nov-23 10:48:07

It’s all unbelievably silly. Audrey has suddenly jumped from being a grieving mother who has discovered her darling son is a serial killer to an 80 odd year old hairdresser full of energy 😆

Shouldn’t the factory’s £250,000 be returned to the factory though? After Probate and sorting out of affairs?

Aveline Thu 16-Nov-23 07:57:23

Stephen only did an equity release on Grasmere Drive. Audrey can stay there for the rest of her life. I thought Stephen had left everything to her in his will anyway and he's got the factory's £250,000. She should be OK.

Calendargirl Thu 16-Nov-23 06:53:05

Amy’s behaviour was so OTT.

And 4 of them setting out on the protest march!

Plus Audrey’s usual knee jerk response to everything. Did Stephen get rid of Grasmere Drive? I seem to have missed something. So where has she been living?

Poor Nina, sidelined by the saintly Isla. Asha is a fickle little madam.

I agree about Carla; she does look a bit witchy these days. I think her clothes, which are nearly always black, don't help. She does occasionally splash out and wear a brighter colour though. She had a sort of light orange coat recently, which I thought suited her.

I am also wondering about Trim Up North and why they moved back into Audrey's. It's nice to see Max has got over his traumas and is working with his dad. I suppose he's doing an apprenticeship. I didn't understand what sort of haircut Kirk was after. Like Audrey, I've never heard of an undercut. Is that where the top is left long and the sides and back are shaved? If so, surely Kirky's hair is not long enough for that?

And by the way, are Beth and Kirk still separated? Where are they both living?

Kirk wanted a skin fade haircut. That’s where the hair is longer on top and the sides and back gradually get closer and closer to the skin underneath as they go down until the scalp is very visible.

My husband has similar haircut at the Turkish barbers and last time he went I sat and watched them do this haircut for several men and boys. No shaking hands there! 🤣

CoolCoco Tue 14-Nov-23 21:10:24

Why is Audrey still cutting hair? With the shakes?

sodapop Tue 14-Nov-23 19:35:29

I think Audrey has sold or is selling the barbers shop to pay for her house which Stephen re mortgaged.

Calendargirl Tue 14-Nov-23 19:19:52

Beth and Kirk got back together didn’t they?

He forgave her for whatever it was they disagreed about. They still live wherever they did with Peanut the dog, don’t they?

I thought Carla's acting during her mental health crisis was excellent but that was a while ago. I agree she is a bit 'whiny' now.

BlueBelle Tue 14-Nov-23 16:17:02

Ahh I like Carla and think she fits well with Peter I don’t like Tracy though and don’t think her and Steve are a very likely couple but not as bad as Bernie and Dev

Aveline Tue 14-Nov-23 16:07:55

I've never liked Carla.

Does anyone find Carla boring ?

It’s her voice. Sort of shrill and grating.

Don’t think she spoke like that years ago, did she?

Also her coat hanger cheekbones make her look a bit witchy, now she’s getting older.

Calendargirl Tue 14-Nov-23 16:02:44

I also wondered about ‘Trim Up North’.

Did it get closed after the stuffed animal in there injured someone? Did Audrey fall over it?

jobieP Tue 14-Nov-23 16:00:42

jobieP Tue 14-Nov-23 15:57:25

When Paul was in the bath and Billy on the floor. Paul's wide eyed expression did make me laugh. He looked so innocent.

Aveline Tue 14-Nov-23 14:55:40

It was Audrey's that she smashed up. Max helped her to tidy up though.
