Now Billy and Paul seem to have their own disabled van - weren’t they getting disabled taxis ?

Bernie is full of surprises lately. A secret son and a secret car. Given her past lifestyle, the abandoned secret son wasn’t a huge surprise. It’s a bigger stretch of the imagination that she’s had a car all this time while they are portrayed as a living in poverty. They never have a spare penny but Bernie can afford the expense of running a car. 🤷‍♀️

BlueBelle Wed 22-May-24 05:09:02

I was going to ask the same question about Bernie we ve never seen anything about a car before and how does she afford to run it they ve never got a pound to their name in that house surely she would have been taking Apollo to his appointments in it
Nah she’s not been a car owner before I m sure

I see that Corrie is on every day next week, Monday to Friday, half hour episodes I think.

Focusing on (yet again);the Lauren Bolton mystery.

Think the new policeman, Kit, Bernie’s long-lost son, (poor chap), will be Sarah’s new love interest.

How many love interests has Sarah had now?

So Bernie had the chance to meet up with long lost son ten years ago and let him down by not turning up? How hurtful.

The minimum wage must be different in soapland because they can all do so much more with it: nice cars, meals out and almost living in the pub.

How long has Bernie had a car? Didn’t know she could drive.

That’s what I thought when her car was being towed away. Maybe I’ve just forgotten but I have no recollection of Bernie ever having a car.

Primrose I was wondering that also.

The scriptwriters must have had fun writing Steve’s soirée with Sally, Tim and Demi.

Missed bits. How did Christopher Green find Bernie?

How come Adam left Bethany alone in the office so she could rifle through the files?

Because in Corrieland that’s the norm. 😉 No client confidentiality, discussions with clients in the pub, get an appointment with solicitor same day etc etc

Shona was groomed by Nathan before Bethany. She was the one who helped Bethany get away and convict Nathan. ( I think)

Calendargirl Wed 15-May-24 21:30:35

Do Bethany and Daniel ever do any work?

And does Daniel ever have charge of Bertie? He is rarely around whilst they sit on the sofa or have a drink in the Rovers.

What did Nathan do to Shona? Can’t recall anything about that.

The elephant was a trinket given to Bernie's child by Bernie when he was adopted. That young man did not admit he was adopted but he obviously was.

It is a tad far stretched he knows Lauren but sorry, I forgot it is Corrie.

Thanks. I thought it was very unlikely that there are so few men called Christopher Green in the Manchester area. Common enough name.

How is he going to find Bernie if he wants to?

Calendargirl Wed 15-May-24 17:27:13

Yes, he did lose his ‘empire’, but somehow has the kebab shop where Chesney works, and didn’t he also have some place where Jason (Amy’s ex, son of Damon) worked?

Was it the chip shop?

Bernie used to work in the kebab shop, but never hear of that now. Does Ches run it single handed, in between quad minding and school runs?

Doodledog Wed 15-May-24 15:24:29

Ah, possibly. As regulars to this thread know, I watch with half an eye on other things, and have the sort of memory that knows things like the name of Dev's long lost daughter but not what happened last week 😂

LovesBach Wed 15-May-24 15:01:18

I thought Dev had lost his empire some years ago, and had just the one shop. I watched a few episodes of Classic Coronation Street and he mentioned his seven shops a few times, but no mention recently - wasn't there some kind of crisis (surely not!) and he had to lose them?
