No wonder Roy has collapsed, has he eaten anything since being in prison?

Whenever they bring him food, he refuses it. The prison officers seem incredibly patient with him.

Thanks Doodle, I didn’t know that.

Oh, and one for fact fans - I've just googled, and it seems that the Bishops now have Emily's house. They bought it from Norris, who was given it by Emily when she moved out to live with Spider in Peru.

Spider came back from Peru, so where is Emily now? Are we to assume she died?

Apparently Emily is living in Edinburgh, but this is according to Google.

Yes, I said above that I meant the Baileys.

Aveline Mon 29-Apr-24 14:23:55

The Baileys?

Poor Leanne. The ‘Reality Coding’ sort of made sense, in that you compartmentalised your issues and focused on positive, not negative thoughts or people.

Easier said than done though.

Calendargirl Mon 29-Apr-24 13:31:02

Am so impressed at those of you who know who lives where! Have watched Corrie nearly from the start, but still have no idea which house is which, or who lives there.

Clawdy Mon 29-Apr-24 08:50:23

I guess Rowan is recording Leanne's memories so he can blackmail her. But how did he know she'd have such a grim past? And anyway, her time as a sex worker was not kept a secret anyway?

Doodledog Sun 28-Apr-24 15:05:43

I meant the Baileys, not the Bishops in my post above. I don’t know any of the numbers apart from that the Barlows live at no 1.

Delia22 Sun 28-Apr-24 13:03:06

What on earth was Leanne doing bearing her soul to her?life coach,or whoever he is meant to be? Her confessions of her former life as a call girl/prostitute was being recorded!! It can only be more bad news I suppose. Or is it maybe he is going to use the recording for "training purposes"? Another sad, sorry tale about to unfold in soapland!😟

fancythat Sun 28-Apr-24 10:30:13

who not how

fancythat Sun 28-Apr-24 10:29:55

Yes, the Bailey's house, and also number 7 have been knocked through. Oh, and number 9.

When Sean first came into Corrie (as Todd's friend) he slept on the sofa in the main room off the kitchen. Jason and Todd shared a bedroom and Eileen had the other. As sons and other lodgers have come and gone there must have been a lot of shuffling of sleeping arrangements.

The 'front room' issue always baffles me. It only seems to be Chesney and Fiz's house that has knocked through, although they don't seem to have gained space by doing so. Since Les and Janice had that house the sitting room has had the front door at one end and the kitchen (with the back door) at the other. Oh, and maybe the Baileys' house, which they renovated when they moved in.

All the others cram everyone into one small room off the kitchen, and keep a whole room for no discernible purpose. I know that in the past people like Emily might have had a 'parlour room' that was kept clean and only used for visitors, but do people really do that now? It seems unlikely, particularly when the place is groaning with residents. They either knock through and have a larger room or use both rooms. The parlour room concept was mainly to save lighting a fire unnecessarily, but now that people have central heating it's much less likely that they would waste space like that.

I know. It's just pretend grin.

When Coronation Street first aired the houses were two up two down. They all seem now to have bathrooms, but Eileen's house is amazing; Eileen and George, Mary, Todd, Sean and Dylan - where did they all fit in?

I think the "front room" was used by Sean. At least of rsome of the time.

BlueBelle Sun 28-Apr-24 07:33:32

Well of course I realise that calendargirl but what I m saying is he did it with his heart in the right place although it all backfired and of course the wrong thing to do
I thought he was pretty awful at first but I have warmed to him a little bit not because of that incident but I think he has started to fit into the part he’s playing

I ve warmed to Bobby I didn’t like his character at first but he was trying to help though it bit him in the bum

But his ‘trying to help’ was just downright lying.

No wonder DS Swain hasn’t managed to ‘get her man’ with so-called witnesses like silly Bobby on the scene.

Primrose my loft is deliberately empty and the garden shed is so tidy. A pity the rest of the house was not to the same standard.

It is the amount of spare cash each appears to have- Eileen flying off without a thought, meals out, drinks in the pub and many are on the minimum wage.

Doodledog Sat 27-Apr-24 15:19:49

Todd's still there, yes.

Calendargirl Sat 27-Apr-24 13:41:49

Doesn’t Todd still live at Eileen’s Doodledog, along with George and Mary? ( A Grimshaw). Of course, now Sean and naughty son have left there will be a spare couple of beds.

Doodledog Sat 27-Apr-24 10:36:16

But when they leave or are thrown out of their houses they have all their stuff in binbags grin. I would need a juggernaut to move all my things if Mr Dog showed me the door. (I never know why people just leave when told to - fair enough if you are a lodger, but in a marriage it can't be as easy as just telling someone to go, can it?)

Agreed about Bobby. I have never taken to him for some reason. And I wondered about Jason, too. I suspect he'll come back from Thailand with some story about Eileen having met Mr Right over there, so the house has a Grimshaw in it until Eileen comes back. Unless Glenda gets half the business and George goes over to be with Eileen?
