I'm always deeply impressed at the way people can 'up and go'. Tyrone's departure for Italy with Fizz was a classic; he decided, got up, put his jacket on and off he went, with current passport and flight tickets literally in hand. What a man. That said, watching people pack might be rather tedious. Would Carla not be able to see Roy at fairly short notice, as he is on remand? As he hasn't been convicted perhaps the arrangements are less rigid - he is an innocent man.

And they always have their suitcases to hand! In our house we have to get the loft ladder down, move the xmas decs and other boxes of junk and leave them in the fresh air or summerhouse to air off before using them or your clothes have that loft smell. 🤣

Do you think Jason will be returning? I saw his photo displayed prominently in Eileen's sitting room a week or so ago, and now he is back in the story. Perhaps he will return if he is incapacitated by his back injury.

And Carla was able to get an immediate prison visit! Thankfully, never had to get one myself, but I imagine you have to apply for one.

Plus Elaine is able to fly out to Thailand at a moment’s notice, just popping a bit of dry washing in her bag at the last minute before the taxi comes.

The wonders of soap land.

I hope Roy drops Bobby and others in it for his ridiculous made up story about an intruder in a balaclava. Wouldn’t be sorry to see the back of Bobby languishing at HMP. Wish they would write him out.

But of course that won’t happen, Roy will decide to keep silent.

Another storyline that needs finishing off before we are all sick of it.

Ah, I see, the Will was Archie's, not George's. That makes sense now.

Charleygirl5 Thu 25-Apr-24 23:06:14

I am sure Toyah's baby's remains will be found and she will want to have a proper funeral for her. I agree, It's a bit stupid leaving a teddy bear there.

Tomorrow night should be interesting (and a tad predictable) but my lips are sealed.

Serendipity22 Thu 25-Apr-24 20:00:28

Ahhhhhhh so THATS what happened to Toyah .....

Right next issue is the will Todd found .. all i caught sight of was daughter.... my mind instantly went to Glenda and I wondered how the heck can she be Georges daughter but then i read the comments which shed light on my confusion.....

Doodledog Thu 25-Apr-24 12:03:57

What happened to Glenda's stage school? I'm not the best at paying attention, but I think she came to the street when she opened one.

Calendargirl Thu 25-Apr-24 12:01:22

Yes, it was Archie’s will, not George’s, that had been found down the back of the cabinet or file.

Archie (alias Roy Hudd) obviously left half shares of the funeral business to his two children, George and Glenda.

So either George has inherited the business under false pretences, or that will was never known about.

I thought I saw the word daughter on the will but it was too quick for me
I did see Glenda’s s name for 50% I think
Anyone with good eyesight enlighten us ?

I thought I saw the words daughter too. So did it say 50% to Glenda and 50% to his daughter? It was such a fleeting glimpse that it hard to say. Anyway, definitely saw the word daughter - so George is a father and he has obviously kept it a secret.

Is the will not Archie Shuttleworth's? George and Glenda's father. So he left half the business to his son and the other half to his daughter.

Primrose53 Thu 25-Apr-24 09:34:42

Sad story but I had to laugh at those very obviously fake yellow roses “growing” in isolation.

Why do the scriptwriters have to do it? By all means write about Toyah being left pregnant by a rapist and delivering her stillborn baby alone but burying her in the park!! I daresay we haven't heard the end of this either.

nanaK54 Thu 25-Apr-24 07:13:30

I found the Toyah storyline so moving, pleased that I had managed to avoid any spoilers.

Calendargirl Thu 25-Apr-24 06:53:21

Did Toyah and Leanne leave the little teddy near the rose bush? Not very sensible if they did, surely it would make any passers by or dog walkers wonder why it was there?

Hardly the best way to keep things hidden.

Doodledog Thu 25-Apr-24 06:15:03

Thank you all grin

BlueBelle Wed 24-Apr-24 23:29:42

Oh well I ve googled it
It was an old will of George’s fathers tucked away leaving 50 % of the business to Glenda and 50% to George but obviously Glenda didn’t get her half as she’s always without any dosh

Charleygirl5 Wed 24-Apr-24 22:55:01

I think Glenda has been left 50% of George's business, I am unsure who will get the first half.

Doodledog Wed 24-Apr-24 21:30:41

What was in George's will? I saw Todd reading it, but couldn't make out what it said.

lemsip Wed 24-Apr-24 20:37:12

what a lovely scene with nina hugging evelyn, then asha running in with the dog.

Beechnut Tue 23-Apr-24 12:29:05

I’ve read the spoiler. I wasn’t watching Corrie back in the day so only roughly know what it is about.

Aveline Tue 23-Apr-24 12:22:40

I read the spoiler too. Explains a bit but left wondering about the writers apparent amnesia.

Serendipity22 Tue 23-Apr-24 12:18:38

Ohhhhh drat and double drat ... i want to know 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭
