Does anyone else watch those excellent programmes which chronicle the careers of actors and directors? I love them but find them so frustrating because each time I watch one I then want to see all of the films mentioned. Which I will never have the time to do! A few years ago my leg was so bad that, when I wasn’t at work I basically just lay in the sofa and watched films for several months. I’ve resolved to treat myself to a complete film binge fest asap,

Yes, I often find good programmes to watch on Sky Arts (channel 11 on my tv). Great bionics on musicians too and the occasional drama.

Biopics, not bionics!

has it moved recently, to channel 36 on freeview.
you might not notice depending on if you have to manually re-tune/ add new stations.
it is a very watchable programme, seems to have struck the right note between high/low brow appeal.
i am not particularly interested in or knowledgeable about those subjects, but if i happen on the programme, i nearly always watch it all.
i esp like the man with the beard, he sounds so considered and respectful in his statements, but they are all good.

Yes, have watched many of them.

Very interesting and informative.

I’m not sure how to retune my tv. The extra channel looks good. They’re showing A Discovery of Witches which I’ve always wanted to see. My Sky Arts is still on 11.

well if you can still see it, that's ok.
if it disappears, try re-tuning.
go to menu, may be called set up, then re-tune or add new channels.
then it there is a kind of grid being filled, as it says this may take a few seconds.
when it's complete it usually reverts to whatever channel you were on, or to bbc1.
but i am not tech-savvy, so this may be all bunkum.

before doing all that, if it disappears, try channel 36.
some of them automatically update.

Thanks for that. I did check out 36 when it first happened but haven’t tried it since. So I seem to have Sky Mix on 36 and Arts still on 11 but it means I can see what’s on Sky Mix. I’m always worried about resetting everything since I had a problem with my Humax box.

Ours is the other way around. Mix is 12 and Arts 36
