2nd Strictly Come Dancing 2023 thread

Why wouldn't Gio be in the group dances? ALL the professionals whose partners left are.

hope angela r is out tonight....... annabelle has developed the most and i hope she wins. ellie has youth on her side.

I think some of the professional dancers have really had their work cut out for them this series in different ways. Their choreography has been excellent, but more than that, they have definitely got the best out of their partners.
I take back what I said last week about Carlos letting AngelaS down, because this week he really upped his game and pulled out all the stops. Nikita has succeeded in taming Layton's wild side by showcasing his agility and precision in his craft. Johannes has been so kind to Annabel and has gently helped her on this journey of healing. Dianne is fun, not over serious, and good for Bobby, and Ellie and Vito have perfect chemistry (😉)! Oh yes, and even Kai has been perfect for AngelaR and not overworking her!
That's why I still don't understand the Amanda/Giovanni business. Something not right

Don't mind AR's Blackpool arc, there's no one who's gone out who could have made it past this week, but Time to go. Pretty sure she'd win a dance competition for her age group, and an elegant lady, but not good enough to go forward.

Layton's VR made me like him but he shouldn't be in the competition. I'd cheerfully buy tickets to watch him dance, however.

I hope Ellie wins. All her dances are amazing.
I hope Leyton gets nowhere near the final because he’s a professional and shouldn’t be in the competition. Unfortunately I think he will be in the final three. It was very unfair to put him in the competition.

Layton is very good but dances the same every week. He doesn't show the essence of each dance. I think his best was the Argentine Tango last week. Angela Rippon and Nigel should be in the bottom two. Nigel's footwork wasn't great. Annabelle was good. Her confidence has improved miraculously since her couple's choice. Ellie's Charleston was more of a swing number and some moves were missing, for me. Angela Scanlon was excellent

Was watching on catch up tonight and I am so impressed with the progress Annabel has made in the last few weeks. I’m thinking she might make the final.

Super show tonight, the dances were fantastic with the exception of AR who should have gone long ago.

I refuse to vote for Leyton. Granted that the dance was spectacular but it was a professional performance by a professional performer. My favourites tonight were Ellie's Charleston and Angela S's Argentine Tango.

I agree. I think that Leyton's dance was fantastic but - he is a professional and probably shouldn't be on the show. I suspect that he will get to the final but the public won't vote for him.

For me, Bobby, Angela S and Annabel. Don't all faint, but I'm giving Layton a miss tonight.

Until this series of Strictly, I thought AR looked pretty good (both for her age and in general) but she is holding herself like an old lady head poked forward, rounded shoulders, gritted teeth and looking every one of her 79 years. Great granny at the party!

I've voted for Ellie and Angela S. and I was going to vote for Annabel, but I'm sure she will get through, so I gave my 3rd vote to Nigel because I enjoyed his dance and I don't want him to go home..... although someone good will have to be in the dance off with (I hope) Angela R.

Really liked Angela S’s dance.

Although I think Ellie is great in everything, I agree with Merlotgran, that somehow I wasn’t keen on that Charleston, although she danced it perfectly.

Wasn’t keen on the accompanying music.
