Nigel Farage on I'm a Celeb etc (sorry forgotten the name of the show)
I've never watched it before, and I dont know any of the other contestants, but could be fun.
No doubt he will be given the most gruesome challenges.🤣

I like Nigel Farage but won’t be watching what I consider this ridiculous programme.
Apart from anything else eating animal body parts I find it disgusting and not funny at all.
It says an awful lot about this country!!!

Do you think other countries don’t have programmes like I’m a Celebrity then?

Why do some people feel they have to push their point home by blaming the UK

We can’t be responsible for everything 😂

When I read the words Worlds mostHATED man I though - Tony Blair or Prince Harry.

I don’t watch it because of the eating trials. I think NF should do well.

The world's most hated man?? Hardly.

I wouldn't watch that drivel.

I also totally agree about gun control, and as an asthma sufferer, about smoking inside public buildings. I understand that as a smoker, Nigel Farage (and other people) would prefer smoking to be allowed in pubs and restaurants, but thankfully that will not happen again, that ship has sailed, but I don’t understand why Farage would like gun controls relaxed. Strict gun controls have kept us safer than we would be otherwise.

Galaxy Tue 21-Nov-23 18:05:58

Oh I agree about gun control and if someone lit a fag next to me in a restaurant I would kick up a fuss (well tut loudly) but I am worried about our inability to platform views we find unpleasant, it's becoming a real problem.

I actually thought that was an interesting discussion and I thought Fred 'won' quite easily but its possible Farage didnt want to debate or its also possible that he was unable to respond to the points Fred made, which is quite interesting in itself.
I dont agree with reintroducing smoking in pubs or relaxing gun control but I can cope with the fact that people hold different views to me. We need to be able to listen to people who hold different views to ourselves even when its difficult.

Yup, me too.

However (just to be serious for a moment) the very thought of going down the path of "relaxing gun control" - and I don't think he's the only one who believes this might be a good idea - makes me shudder. Considering all the mental health problems we have in this country, I think it would - ultimately - be disastrous. In spite of all the assurances like "proper licensing" being done "responsibly", they would eventually end up in the hands of the wrong people.

Anyway, someone I know - who doesn't like him in fact - got chatting to him in a pub (where else!) and said that he was in fact quite civilised and OK to talk to. But, they didn't discuss politics!

I won't be watching - not because of him - I never watch it. It makes me a bit, I dunno, feel like I'm rubbernecking a car crash. But, I don't like 'reality' tv shows anyway. Apparently, some of the contestants receive abusive, and even threatening, messages after appearing in the show, it's not quite harmless entertainment if it can evoke such extreme reactions.

But, as I said - we have a lot of problems with seemingly many people suffering from them now.

I think the title was meant to be amusing Tiggy, hence the emoji.

Namsnanny - I think your post has backfired on you! 😂🥴 Perhaps you’d care to explain the reasons for your ‘hatred’ of NF?🤔

Well said, Anniel!
I happen to like Nigel Farage! I agree with his views - he speaks for lots of ordinary people. It seems that quite a few posters on here feel the same. He has been very calm and collected, very sensible, not screaming like certain other members of the group. Does anyone else have the feeling that there are more people yet to join the camp?
I enjoy I’m A Celeb just to see how the contestants relate to each other - same with Big Brother, it’s just a social experiment (I stopped watching that because of the swearing - unnecessary and annoying). It doesn’t really matter whether they’re well-known or not. I did prefer it when the location was Grwych Castle in Wales though.
There is enough hatred around at the moment; it’s possible to agree to disagree and leave it at that (which NF did yesterday with Fred S., who happens to be French, which probably explains his views about Brexit!).

Beautyandthebeast Tue 21-Nov-23 16:53:01

Exactly this.

ninamoore Tue 21-Nov-23 16:33:16

Health conditions? Fag breaks?

Mt61 Tue 21-Nov-23 16:28:55

Unfortunately I can’t watch it due to the choice of not having a having a license, can’t stand the BBC, bunch of hypocrites!
Definitely hope Nigel wins! He speaks a lot of common sense.

My goodness the hyperbole on here, although I take many of the comments literally. I watch Celebrity Get Me Out of Here every series because I like to see how humans behave in such conditions and surroundings. I learn a lot about people. Nigel Farage might be not everyone’s cup of tea, but I am fascinated by the sheer nastiness of the far left members on GRANSNET. I would not enjoy their company although I rather like WWM.
For those lofty members here with closed minds, Farage has demonstrated common sense on the programme and carried out successfully two of the worst tasks so far without complaint. I must confess I know only a couple of the other contestants and they are Fred Serieux and Grace Dent. Why anyone would dislike Ms Dent is a mystery to me. I am sure avid Remainers are wishing bad things to happen to Nigel Farage., Their posts show just how mean minded the left can be. I could never wish for evil things to happen to any left wing politician. I guess I am not mean enough.

Very well said Annie….👍🏻

And another well said for me.

I think Ant and Dec are real funny. I love their humour.

merlotgran Tue 21-Nov-23 16:11:13

Grace and Josie seem nice enough. They are all lucky to have Fred, top class chef.

Fred isn’t a top class chef. He specialises in front of house - maître d’hôtel.

And no I will not watch that smirky worm courting more publicity

I have to say well done for that description LauraNorderr, it’s spot on, conjures him up perfectly.

Hear hear! I used to watch it way back when, but got bored…I might tune in just to see what is going on but as others have noted this worm will be wriggling out of no doubt many of the tasks. IMO this shouldn’t be allowed, and someone who can avoid the required tasks shouldn’t be allowed on…but money and PR always wins…he makes me shudder!

Presumptuous that you think everyone hates him?

JRTW2 Tue 21-Nov-23 15:51:53

Only those that could damage the repaired spinal injury he sustained years ago. More relevant that the other hypochondriacs who seem to be exempt

Chinesecrested Tue 21-Nov-23 15:11:21

Nothing wrong with Farage, just because you don't agree with his views. Lots of people do. And he won't be targeted for tasks because he's cool, calm and collected. He doesn't scream and cry so no fun to be had!

Mamardoit Tue 21-Nov-23 15:11:17

I do wish there was an edit function on here. I do know the difference between who's and whose.

Amalegra Tue 21-Nov-23 15:10:29

I only watched this series once and that was quite enough for me! I don’t really like all these ‘reality’ shows with far too many ‘z’ list ‘celebrities’, many of whom I’ve never heard of and am not at all interested in. I must admit to not warming to Farage, although he does make some valid points at times.

Anniel Tue 21-Nov-23 15:06:51

Dickens I have never thought of you as far left. You are sensible in my eyes!
