Do you have an ‘old lady crush'?

Or an ‘old gentleman crush’, if you are not an old lady?
I have been watching The Good Doctor, about a surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. You must suspend belief a great deal, but I have developed the said ‘old lady crush’ on Freddie Highmore, who plays Shaun, after seeing him interviewed on You Tube.
My friend loves Harry Styles, and my daughter-in-law says her crush is Timothee Chalamet ( whoever he is)

I don’t count my Paul McCartney or Sam Neill crushes, as they are nearer in age.

teachkate years ago, the house next door to me was rented out to a Newcastle Utd player - Les Ferdinand used to pick him up to take him for training just outside Durham.

Also Ramin Karimloo. He was in Holby City, and also well known for main roles in Les Mis and Phantom of the Opera.

Regé-Jean Page

(but I'm always hoping for a call from Brad Pitt, just not sure if he's aware that I'm widowed and therefore available.....)

Great minds think alike! Jamie Fraser aka Sam Heughan definitely does it for me!! We 66 year olds must be very like minded!
I can agree with others though that it would be lovely to have a gay man as a best friend , Johannes from Strictly comes to mind. He would be great to go shopping with.
I can’t complain though, I have a lovely husband whom i still fancy like mad ( who is 9 years younger) and who feels the same way!!

Just discovered Alan Richman in Reacher, who reminds me of my first fiance, and Jason Mamoa. I like tall men with broad shoulders it seems...

Andrew Scott ( Fleabag ) - another lovely gay man.

How could I have forgot Andrew Scott, yes gay I know who cares, so good looking, what a priest! Sadly none so hot as that when I went to mass on a regular basis, they tended to have looks more along the lines of Michael Gove the more bog standard variety.

Im so drooling over Pedro Pascal , he is so dreamy .

Bazza Sat 09-Dec-23 15:00:27

I just love Rylan. All my life I’ve wanted gay bf. I’ve had to make do with my lovely cousin but he lives too far away.

Freddie Highmore was also in Bates Motel and he was absolutely brilliant.

I have a team of very fit tree surgeons who visit once a year. The palpitations, weak knees and hot flushes I experience when they get to work make me think I must rein in my fantasies.

I've just binge watched every season of The Detectorists and now allow myself crushes on Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones.
I think they have hidden depths!

Callistemon21 Sat 09-Dec-23 15:35:26

I wonder if he's the same tree surgeon we used, Nell8, although I did just think "Ooh, you'd make a lovely SIL"!
I must be getting old 🙂

My Grandmother used to say "you're never to old to appreciate a nice young man"
I'm beginning to know what she meant!.
Must say I admire most of them

Emelie321 Sat 09-Dec-23 16:03:36

Sam Heughan in Outlander for me, too.
And he's around the same age as my son.
Am I a cougar??blush

No old lady crushes here, but I still think fondly now and again of my teenage crush: Moshe Dayan ( I was 13 during the Six Days' War).

Tenko I agreed on the limited version of Vigo Mortennsen, no opinion on the other person you named.

It is amazing what film make-up and a wig can do to a man.

He was also gorgeous in Hidalgo and a cowboy film he made. What made him even more adorable is how he bought the horses he worked with and gave them a home for life.

Chicklette Sat 09-Dec-23 16:54:34

I’m really embarrassed to admit this, but Austin Butler of Elvis fame. I’m old enough to be his mother, but something about him in the role just makes my heart flutter….

Supergran1946 Sat 09-Dec-23 17:22:46

Stanley Tucci for me, I could listen to his voice for hours 🤣🤣🤣

Twopence Sat 09-Dec-23 17:30:56

Will Kirk from Repair Shop is mine, then someone mentioned David Olusoga, I could listen to him for hours.
