Do you have an ‘old lady crush'?

Or an ‘old gentleman crush’, if you are not an old lady?
I have been watching The Good Doctor, about a surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. You must suspend belief a great deal, but I have developed the said ‘old lady crush’ on Freddie Highmore, who plays Shaun, after seeing him interviewed on You Tube.
My friend loves Harry Styles, and my daughter-in-law says her crush is Timothee Chalamet ( whoever he is)

I don’t count my Paul McCartney or Sam Neill crushes, as they are nearer in age.

David Gandy pretty please.

I’ve loved him for years, and, he’s sooooo nice.

Mine too, MerylStreep. We could form a fan club for him. I've watched the series twice but could happily watch it all through again. 🤗

Did you cry with everyone at the end 😥

Marydoll where do you find Turkish dramas to watch? My favourite is the scruffy detective in Spiral, sorry I am hopeless with names. He turned up recently in another BBC4 Sat foreign drama series but was not as heart-stopping!

Rufus Sewell but only as Lord Melbourne.

The big chap on the pottery throw down. Google. Keith Brymer Jones.

Robbie Williams and a few others whose names I can’t remember.

I always fancied Omar Sharif - those eyes! - but as he's lost to us, I'll settle for George Clooney.

Patrick Grant from the “Sewing Bee”. Yes, I know that he’s not in the first flush of youth but I’m VERY old!

Oh yes, Patrick too smile

I’m going to opt for Regé-Jean Page. He was in first series of Bridgerton. Gave up after that as he was the only reason I watched it. Sadly I have had to come to the conclusion there is no hope for Rufus Sewell and me now.

Dougray Scott and Jason Isaacs are my ‘old lady crushes’.

I know it's awful but I do like Jeremy Clarkson. He's so funny. His TV persona is deliberately naughty. I've always liked a bad boy. Meanwhile, Richard Hammond is very handsome (but tiny)

My crush is Rob Rinder, the barrister and TV person. I admire his brain and his warmth towards his family, and have enjoyed learning more about him through the TV documentaries he's done - the most recent being the Princes in the Tower.

Yes, I know he's gay but I don't care smile

I agree. I met him last month in Glasgow, and he was delightful ( and much smaller than I expected!) I was going to identify as a young gay man because of him, Graham Norton, and Paul O’ Grady!

That's interesting to know.
I thought he was delightful when he was on Strictly a few years ago.
Every woman should have a gay male friend, I reckon, and I want Rob Rinder to be mine. Unfortunately he doesn't know that yet!

Another vote for Viggo but only as Aragorn, I think it's the shaggy dark hair and beard because he's not got the same attraction clean shaven.
Outlander's Sam Heughan also rocks my boat. Here's the thing, in my head I'm still 20 something even if my 66 year old body tells me otherwise wink

It's still the oldies with me.Gary Cooper ,Grogory Peck, James Garner and always top, Paul Newman those blue eyes.
Aiden Turner until DH pointed out his big hairy feet in "Lord of the Rings", I picture them under his socks.

I've got a bit of a crush on Dan Levy who was David Rose in Schitt's Creek , and also has a new film which he has written, on Netflix in January, I think. He's lovely.
I often seem to fancy gay men, for some reason.

You’re not alone 😍 I’m watching the series for the 3rd time.
When he sang Your simply the best to Patrick my heart melted.

Oh I love Dom from The Repair Shop too, he's an absolute sweetie! And I have a thing for Jason Mohammed and Pep Guardiola - that's what comes of my husband watching so much football! Mind you, he rather fancies Alex Scott!!
Then there's Viggo Mortensen - but like already said, only as Aragorn, and Johnny Depp, but only as a pirate!!

Jadeb52 Fri 08-Dec-23 11:51:50

Marydoll my secret crush is Turkish actor Can Yaman as well……very handsome and sensuous man! Watch Early Birds on You Tube all the time 😁

AGAA4 Fri 08-Dec-23 11:50:03

No crushes these days but I do find Jack Huston who played the demon in Mayfair Witches quite attractive.

Marthjolly1 Fri 08-Dec-23 11:49:17

Aidan Turner (Ross Poldark) would raise my pulse a bit.
