I came upon this film/drama by chance while looking for something to watch. It stars Anne Reid (May) and Daniel Craig (Darren). I thought it was a great piece of drama.
Definitely worth watching. It’s a little slow at the outset, but stay with it.

I watched this ages ago, mainly to see Daniel Craig!

Found it a bit weird and a bit creepy, to be honest.

Not a film I want to re-watch.

It’s interesting to see how we react differently to a drama.
I really felt sorry for May (Anne Reid) as she clearly had an unfulfilled life and through the affair, discovered passion and a release to live a more creative and happy life.

Yes, it is interesting. I really felt for the daughter, and thought that the mother was really wrong to do what she did, not because of any moral objection but because it hurt her daughter so.
I also felt sorry for the son.
Very good performances from everyone.

I haven’t seen it for years but it made me realise what a great actress Ann Reid is. She went from strength to strength after that film.

Good acting but I found the plot implausible and it made me feel a bit 🤮.
