Douglas Henshall from Shetland

Not my type I'm afraid. But he was just about the only real actor in 'Murder is Easy'. He was terrific, and also the actor who played the Vicar (Duncan on Shetland). That guy usually gets villain roles - I watched the last episode of Shetland (before the cast changed) last night, and his expressiveness was astonishingly subtle.

I have read the book, but not seen this. Will try and find it, to see how it compares. Not always a successful take though, as most screen writers think they can do it better, when they obviously can't.

I haven't read it. The film was on TV some time ago. It has some very scary moments and DHis great in it.

I saw him in a film called Iona. I'm afraid it put me off him, but it was probably the character he was playing that I didn't like really.

He was really good in"Murder is Easy', quite a different character all together.

I agree but think I was probably a bit in love with Jimmy Perez..!!

He was in "Murder is Easy" on BBC. Looking very different but you could understand how leaving would open up loads of opportunities to be different characters.

Absolutely loved him in Shetland and most upset that he’s no longer in the series. Will give your recommendation a go as I do miss him…
