Anyone watching Wild Scandinavia? The filming of the Norwegian fjords, etc is breathtaking and my cat particularly enjoyed all the shots of the puffins. smile

It's very beautiful there - the home of one of my daughters and her family.

It's wonderful isn't it, am so looking forward to tonight's episode but may record it to watch tomorrow as Toby Jones is in part one of Mr Bates vs The Post Office.

It's stunning.

Part of ‘Mr Bates vs the Post Office’ was filmed in our village, so we will be glued tonight, expecting to see local people! We’ll also be watching ‘Wild Scandinavia’, as it looks beautiful. Thank you Sparklefizz. 😊

I must catch Wild Scandinavia. I loved the Wild China series that was on a few years ago.

The narrator is putting me off, I don’t find her voice natural.

Casdon, the narrator is Swedish so you have to forgive her.

That explains it, thanks Greta.

The narrator is putting me off, I don’t find her voice natural.

Watched it last night for the first time and it were absolutely breathtaking, the volcanos in Iceland were unbelievably beautiful. But , as you say , the narrator was off putting, her voice irritating , shame .

Greta Wed 03-Jan-24 08:57:38

Coolbreeze, out of interest, what was it about the narrator's voice you found irritating?

Sparklefizz Wed 03-Jan-24 09:13:21

I think the narrator's voice is lovely, and I was so impressed by her pronunciation of Scandinavian words that I googled her and found she is half Swedish.

I think the filming is out-of-this-world, although - as an arachnaphobe - I could have done without the segment on spiders in episode 3. shock

What a beautiful programme it is totally amazing to watch and takes my mind away from all the troubles.

MayBee70 Wed 03-Jan-24 10:15:17

I like her voice. The voiceover on Wild China was very gentle, too. It’s the sort of programme I like to watch late at night when I can’t sleep.
