Has anybody watched the 2nd series of 'The Traitors' on BBC1 / iPlayer tonight?
I really, really liked the 1st series last year - so much so that I also watched the US & Australian versions on iPlayer to ease withdrawal symptoms when it finished 😂.
Another obsession is about to start I think.......
Harry will fritter the money away on daft cars and expensive holidays.
His lying and cheating skills make him a deserving winner, but he certainly isn't a worthy winner. The others all wanted to use the money in a philanthropic way on worthy causes. Harry was rather vague but said it was for his family, especially his parents.
Game shows now offer such big rewards that I wonder if contestants are guilt tripped into promises of generous charity donations and the like.
Even on smaller shows they’re asked what they’re going to do with their winnings as though it’s a sin to want to have a holiday or do up the kitchen. Money For Nothing is the worst. I cringe when somebody is asked what they’re going to do with £10.50.
I’d love somebody to reply, ‘Mind your own business!’
How come Harry managed to get so much leave from the army for the filming?
Not for long!
He may have a relatively wealthy girlfriend but that doesn't make him wealthy well he is now
Funny old world when lying and cheating are revered. And being young and slightly confused are mocked.
Only a game but still.

Apparently Harry is one of the jet setting crowd and posts pictures of his lavish lifestyle, so it seems he even duped us the viewers. He said money wasn't important to him, but he would like to take his family all out for a meal and not worry about paying for it. My heart bleeds.

He's a lance corporal, REME aircraft engineer and went back to that job after filming finished last year, having to keep his win a secret. He may have a relatively wealthy girlfriend but that doesn't make him wealthy.
That's all very interesting! I also heard today the crew are large in numbers, about 200 of them!
Apprently they live in a Hotel by Inverness Airport it's quite a drive to and from the castle.
The upstairs is crew, make up etc.

caknib I have a hundred questions about the logistics of moving people around in the night, up to the tower, into the room where they receive their murder letter etc. How do others not suspect when people disappear? How do they ask new recruits to join and then get them into the tower with the traitors the same night? Still, if we knew all that I suppose the magic would be lost.
Chestnut there are several good articles online about this - I read a few last autumn but they are all swamped under new articles now and I can't find them.
One was in an "industry" type magazine and was talking (albeit guardedly) about production challenges. About how sometimes people had to be driven round in their cars incase they were spotted.
They have breakfast in the hotel first so have eaten in their bedrooms. I think I read they were killed in the morning rather than overnight.
I was surprised to hear they filmed Monday to Saturday but had Sundays off. The days were long and gruelling.
They have a different driver each night, and are allowed 2 drinks total a day - one in the castle.
Pretty certain I read they spend evenings in their rooms.
One contestant from last year said she spent most of Sunday sleeping and thought others would do the same.
The info is out there - just harder to find now. And of course it was all based on last year's show.
Just read the viewing figures on Radio Times:
'The BBC has confirmed that the climactic episode reached a peak audience of 6.9 million, more than double the season 1 finale (3.1m), with its average across the hour being 5.5 million (33.5 per cent of the audience share at that time).'
Now how do they know that? I recorded it and started watching about 9.30pm so did I get counted?
Farzanah not only good looks but charm I think she’s realised and must feel very foolish poor girl She was very doe eyed wasn’t she ? I was really hoping Jaz or Andrew would win but knew it was going to be Harry, the charmer
I really enjoyed this show. It was the first time I’ve watched and thought it was cleverly done. Claudia was great, but the real star for me was Jaz who appeared brighter than most of the faithfuls.
Poor Mollie, should be a warning to all young women, looks can be deceptive

Of course,it's a game. Entertainment on a cold January evening. Who was being played? Strange how in the North of Scotland there was very little rain. Who chose their clothes and kept them so clean and tidy? How come they never seemed tired or hungover? These silly questions crossed my mind.
I don't think H was a nice young man who felt uncomfortable after he got the tap on the shoulder. I never for a second believed all the 'big family' shtick. All going out for a burger which he could pay for? Don't think so. The guy is a sociopath,an accomplished manipulator and liar. Handy skill set.
Harry has a media presenter girlfriend who has musician brothers who use private jets. From what I read in the media he is destined for a career on the telly so watch out for him on Gogglebox or similar. He was surprisingly inarticulate in his interview and I thought that his baby face was a bit fuller than before. I do hope that Mollie's career takes off now. She deserves a boost.

Just watched Harry on 'Uncloaked'. So inarticulate. Every second word was 'like' followed by lots of 'sort ofs'. If it wasn't for his baby face he'd have been out much earlier.
He drove me nuts with all the, ‘myself’ and ‘yourself.’

Excellent ending, though I was hoping Jaz would win as he had been so perceptive, apart from his misjudgement of Miles.
I was glad I watched Uncloaked afterwards as I would have been buzzing with questions if I had gone straight to bed! I think it is a good innovation this year.
Series three next year?
I'm not at all sure about a celebrity version - it would depend so much on leaving the politicians out of it for me.

Feel sorry for Jaz as he was the only one who suspected Harry. Can’t believe Mollie was so stupid to think Jaz would have wanted to continue the game if he was a traitor. Just didn’t make any sense at all.
Well, there were three possible scenarios that Mollie had to consider in a few moments of time.
If Jaz was a traitor why didn’t he vote to end the game?
If Jaz and Harry were both traitors maybe Jaz wanted all the money to himself?
If Harry wasn’t a traitor, maybe Jaz just wanted him out of the game so he and Mollie could share the cash fifty fifty?
Good grief! It was a game entered into for a large amount of cash.
They all knew what they were doing in entering it.
Harry played a good game as he was meant to do when getting a tap on the shoulder and told to be a traitor in the game.
He deserved to win for playing the part so well.
In the recorded bits to camera he seemed like a very nice young guy to me, uneasy at deceiving Mollie but keeping the endgame in sight.

Poor Mollie. Having coped with all her physical issues to discover that she can't trust her own judgement. I agree. She'll be upset by this for ages.
That smug, smirking laddie will have frittered away all that money in no time. He'll also have affected how people think of him. Not trustworthy.
Its been a while since I was aged 21 but I don't think she was ingenue at all. Smitten by H and his full lips and cheeky chappy act. A terrifying character, still I expect he's good at his job.
