With luck there will be no semi-professional skater next week.

I felt sorry for Ricky Hatton as he had never put a foot on ice previously. I did not enjoy the choreography for him and when upright I thought he did well.

Also there is no messing around like Strictly, wasting time.

I agree it would have been better to have had a new female presenter as well as a male replacement and start afresh.

Oh my goodness, Clare is taking a lot of falls and she hasn't even got started yet! Ouch!

Well, I thought Clare was marked pretty high, but Miles was terrific for his first skate. He's one to watch.

Good to see the professionals opening the show. I was delighted to see Dan W. performing. He has always been a favourite of mine.

I think Eddie surprised the judges (as well as me!) at how good he was.
Wonder who will be in the skate off with Ricky Hatton?

I admire Eddie. He has no fear. I remember him skiing in the Olympics and I've seen the film about him. I also remember him in Splash, the diving competition, when he learnt to dive off the top board which looked pretty terrifying to me.

I think he'll go far.

Seeing Adele in the lineup, she looks so small and frail. My heart goes out to her.

Oh dear, Ricky hasn't improved at all, bless him.

The right decision, Ricky was graceful in defeat.

Great to watch Jane & Chris on the ice, I still enjoy & admire them.
We did have a couple of very short power cuts during DOI, but I didn't miss much, (one was in the adverts!!)
