For lovers of Wolf Hall

Since I cried at the end of the Mirror and the Light, I'm not sure if I can cope with a tv series.

I did too, Nfk but I will still watch the new series when it's released.

I cried at the end too Nfk Dumpling. I would definitely watch it though. It would make for superb drama I bet.

I read the Mirror and the Light with a great deal of trepidation. After all, what happened is history and cannot be altered. But it does bring this story to a final close and needs to be seen. Hopefully, if they put on this third series, they will first of all repeat the previous two.

A friend who works for the National Trust watched them filming at Montacute last week so I should think it will be a while before it is shown

I have just finished reading the Mirror and the Light for the second time, having reread the first two books before Christmas. I dragged this last one out as long as I could because I didn’t want it to end. You know exactly what is going to happen to him and somehow think the second time it will be easier to read, and it isn’t. I’m greatly looking forward to the tv series - I hope they are faithful to the book and don’t change the cast, but nothing can be better than the subtleties and nuances of the all that captivating prose.

I enjoyed Wolf Hall that I watched it several times. Not only were the costumes correct but also the portrayal of the customs and etiquette of the times. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mark Rylance brings great humanity to the part of Cromwell and really fleshes out the character of someone whom many think of simply as Henry's enforcer.

We waited so long for The Mirror And The Light, so I guess it will be a similar wait for the television version! So long as Mark Rylance is in it, that's all that matters!

I look forward to this, especially if Mark Rylance is in it.

That is good news. In a way her writing is so good that I could almost visualize the scenes in The Mirror and the Light so much so that I felt I must have watched it already.
Mark Rylance was brilliant as was the rest of the cast. I hope none of the main actors have changed.

How delighted Hilary would have been to know how much this series means to so many people.
