Well, they've done it again!
Silent Witness has been shuffled off and we now have Football!
Why? It's about time there was a dedicated channel for sport.

In the words of my DGD…

Fuming!!!

Ilovecheese Tue 06-Feb-24 19:31:21

It's on iplayer, if you have it.

Auntieflo Tue 06-Feb-24 20:39:22

Thanks Ilovecheese, we do have iplayer, DH looked, but it's just taking the mickey.

I quite enjoy sport but I do agree there is no need to disrupt other programmes. They could have a separate sports channel.

gillgran Tue 06-Feb-24 21:04:46

Oh no, just turned to BBC1 for "Silent Witness"!
I was looking forward to watching this "follow on" from last night.
We don't have a smart TV, so to watch on iplayer, I have to watch on small screen of my laptop. sad

We’re watching football. If it was on a free channel we’d watch it there, very unlikely to happen as most popular sport is on the ££ channels, apart from Wimbledon of course.

Totally annoying that kicking balls around is classed as more important than one of the very few decent programmes on the BBC these days, Silent Witness. To be fair hitting balls would annoy me just as much as kicking them. There are 4 adult BBC TV channels. Why not dedicate one, and one only, to sport and leave the rest alone.

Another very annoyed viewer here. Quite agree Salti.

We watched Silent Witness on catch up TV, but thought it very odd the way that the interfering home office? woman's death in a car with A N Other, was skimmed over very quickly.

Aaahhhhh!!,

Totally love this programme ! Forensic pathologists doing as well as their own jobs , the polices ' job. Jack always on hand to sort out anyone causing trouble. Love the variety of diversity in the team.
Watching the Kings Cross one at present. Part 2 tonight. No spoilers but this ones a cracker.
Does everyone find Jack and Nicki a credible romantic couple ?
Not quite. I don't know why. Probably just me. Love the character that is his deaf niece.
Agree rubbish to push it off for footie. There are literally loads of football / sports channels.

Much easier to watch on BBC I-Player

So good! Love Cara, she's brilliant. As someone who's partially deaf it's great to see some representation. As for the ending of "Kings Cross" did I miss something as to the motive?! I could put all the parts together as to who knew who, etc but it just didn't quite make sense. Trying not to add spoilers but if anyone wants to enlighten me please do.....via inbox if preferred! I'm usually quite "on it" with this stuff...

Usually watch on iPlayer as it's just easier. And can binge watch it all too! Win, win!

A consistently good programme. The mortuary scenes are totally believable and although I have little knowledge of what our insides look like, I think the 'corpses' must be anatomically spot-on.

Hi Seawoozle,
Finally watched Part 2 of the Kings Cross one yesterday( have to watch on BBC IPlayer). I was baffled by the plot frankly but my husband reckons as follows;
The out of control/ bent copper was given Carte Blanche to clear Kings Cross of any" undesirables" (sic). The "green coat" character didn't sign up for the murders and thought he might get "fitted up" for them all so complained and was killed for his trouble. I wasn't clear why the headcase who killed everyone did what he did other than he seemed to be an assassin used by the copper .
I thoroughly enjoyed it notwithstanding that I didn't understand the plot properly.
I often either don't understand plots or lag behind at least but that doesn't bother me as I'd rather be baffled than bored.
Let's hope they make more of them.
Cheers

I was bothered that it was never explained what happened to the person bent cop Russell was supposed to caring for….
