Started first episode last night, found it very slow, gave up on it after 15 minutes, does it get better?

I have watched both episodes so far with 4 more to go. Will probably watch the third one next week, though not worried if something more interesting is on.

It's a disappointing copy of One Day which is on NF. After 15 minutes of it, I gave up.

Yes I watched it straight after One Day and woukd agree Sparkle.
